correction, i'm afraid!

i just paused for a longer time (about an hour), and now it does stop scrobbling when i start playing music again. worse even, while it seems that tracks which appeared to scrobble fine in the first place, disappear later. i listened music this morning:

- one song (scrobbled fine)
- short pause (about a minute)
- couple of songs (were registered in 'now playing' on last.fm if i remember correctly)
- long pause (about an hour)
- it doesn't register any sons in 'now playing', and only the very first song has successfully scrobbled.

i'll run some more tests today, to see if i can find a real pattern. i already removed the plugin and installed it again from scratch but that didn't help.

oops, i missed the update for the last.fm plugin. apparently this issue arises again when still using the 1.0 version. sorry for bothering! if you happen to have the same problem, update to 1.1 and it will most probably be fixed.

I can pause it for hours without issue.

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but i have the feeling that this problems still exists. I use MediaMonkey with the Last.fm plugin, and I just noticed tracks missing from my library on last.fm that i happen to have played after pausing MediaMonkey for quite some time. I just tested pausing for about 5 minutes, and then it still worked. Later this day I'll try pausing for a longer time and see what happens.

More people with this problem?

edit: just paused MediaMonkey for 30 minutes, and scrobbling does not work anymore! I have to restart the program for it to start working again.

I upgraded from the beta (forget which version, but should not be relevant) to 4.0.1. today. The beta version had no problems with scrobbling, but now I also experience this behavior.

I decided to test it:

1. Played some tracks and made sure they scrobbled OK.
2. Paused the music for about 5 minutes, then resumed. Still scrobbled OK. Tested this twice to be sure, and scrobbling worked fine.
3. Paused the music for 30 minutes, then resumed. This time, scrobbling did not work anymore.
4. Restarted the program, and started playing music. Scrobbling started working OK again.

The computer (running Windows 7, all new updates installed) was not suspended during this time; I was actively using it.

It seems that the error occurs in the time window between 5 and 30 minutes of pause.

I start MM, scrobbles fine. I hit stop when I'm done, go about my business, could be a few hours or a day or more before I start playing again, but if I dont actually exit/restart MM, often times it will not scrobble when I resume playing again. Very, very annoying, I shouldn't have to restart the program for this.

A application that uses the full screen when started. In my case mostly Angry Birds (the pc-version, obviously). ;-)

Yep, I can confirm this behaviour, last.fm scrobbled just fine until I closed and then re-opened a full-screen running MusicIP Mixer. I hope the devs sare reading this, even though the beta forum is temporarily closed.

Same problem here, last.fm simply stops doing scrobbling at some point. I'll check that hint with the full-screen application and report back.

I think I've found what causes the Last.fm-plugin to stop working. It seems to occur whenever I launch a full-screen application.
