Anyone that runs into this.

From support:
"Could you try to
3) go to menu Tools > Options > Library and uncheck [ ] Scan file directories for artwork
Does it resolve the issue?"

It did resolve the issue for me. Though I do not really use cover art for anything.

Sidenote: it is telling me I am not allowed to linked images, not on this domain. ibb 'dot' co representing imbb 'dot' com is what I tried. So maybe I don't know how to post images. :-?

Geez it won't even let me mention them.

I am on it. Scan running.

Also when moving around my music files I lost a couple hundred. The scan did not fail/Freeze. I had less than 15200, so I add some back in to bump up the number.

You may want to try the folder (album) the scan gets stuck on or try to scan that folder manually to see if manual scan also fails.
Thank you for the img post. I meant that I didn't already have an image hosting service ready, but this will help me get one ready.

The freeze happens in different folders and now I pretty much have everything in about three or four folders. But the freeze has never been folder or file consistent. To clarify, it will be the same file or folder until the file structure changes or the database is wiped then the file will be different.

Manual file scan freeze as well.

Thanks.

4.128.1905 File Monitor Scan Freezing up

I've had this problem through a couple of versions. The File monitor would just stop on a file sometime after record 15200+. MM4 did not freeze. Just that background process. It only interferes with adding new songs or closing MM4.

The example I included is adding files because I have recently (twice) wiped the database. Once through MM4 and once by deleting the DB. I have also renamed the stuck file and deleted other files to change the place of the sticking file. Renaming does not help, but the other attempts just changed the file that the scanner stopped on.

Crap I was going to attach images, but I don't know how right this sec.

I am on Win10 Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362, using MM 4.128.1905. I am getting no errors outright.

I'll try to get the debug version installed soon.

Thanks.
