This is something you allowed MediaMonkey to do. It asks during first run (clean install) what you want MediaMonkey associated with. If you skipped this step you can always change associations under Tools > Options > OS Integration.

This current version has caused a bit of frustration for me and I'm hoping someone here can help. First, I do not want Media Monkey to be the defaults for everything. However, it appears that Media Monkey had decided what it will be the default for and some of those boxes it will not let me uncheck. Is there a way to fix this? VLC is my default video and I'd like to keep it that way. Media Monkey is a poor manager/player for videos and it also has trouble playing some videos whereas VLC will play everything. Can anyone help me to change the default option in Media Monkey so that it stops seizing control over my videos?
