It's definitely a software problem. The CDs I'm using are 50x and my drive can go up to 24x so media isn't the problem. I had already tried lowering the speed even lower than 24x and got yet another coaster (they also make fairly decent, albeit expensive, frisbees for chihuahuas). I got ticked off and used Win 7's native CD burning software and that worked just fine so the drive isn't the problem either. The curious thing is MM reported that my playlist would span six CDs which is even more curious since all my tracks are mp3s. Using Win 7's native burner, it all easily fit on two CDs (I suspect MM was trying to make a music CD) and it was easy and simple to do. I rarely make mp3 CDs (just for my truck and I have plenty now) and never make music CDs any more plus, when I replace my truck next year, I won't need to make either ever again (the newer trucks can play off a USB flash drive) so I'm just not going to worry about it. I've got better things to do than waste my time trying to figure out how get MM to work right at this (nor should I have to waste time doing so; it should work correctly without needing a degree in programming to make it do so).
