Hi,
Direct Email replies to forum notifications goes directly to no reply Black hole and not even seen by forum.

I am getting seriously crappy responses to my emails, as if you are ghosting me. Is that because I am responding to the email rather than this link?

Seems like it … oh well … will rebuild the lost files as I run across them ...

It sounds like the files may be corrupted somehow. Do their file sizes still seem to correspond to what you expect for a FLAC file? Do the old files reside in the same place as the new (that play) FLAC files?

Tried rescanning and get this error message:

Error scanning file G:\Music\St. Vincent\Masseduction\01 St. Vincent - Hang On Me.flac - error while reading file info
Error scanning file G:\Music\St. Vincent\Masseduction\02 St. Vincent - Pills.flac - error while reading file info

Version 4.1.23.1881

All the FLAC files played fine before I had to do this re-install of Windows and MediaMonkey. I did change the FLAC rip settings today as I have more space so I went to a 3 compression instead of the default. CDs I ripped today at the new setting play fine.

They will not play if I open them directly from File Explorer and neither Groove or Windows Media Player will either. Although not sure if either of those players even support the file extension.

Thanks!

Which version of MediaMonkey?

Do the FLAC files MediaMonkey did see play? Do FLAC files fail to play if opened from Explorer with MediaMonkey?

Had to do clean install of Windows 10 and reinstall MediaMonkey. Had a major issue with Windows not allowing file access to FLAC files which we fixed, but now MediaMonkey will not recognize my FLAC file extensions. Qualify that a little because it's found about 20 of them but missing about 2000. Can see them in my file folders and can even manually get them to show in the now playing toolbar but when I hit play nothing happens …. help please!
