Columns selections and UI settings in general is within persistent.json file (some in MediaMonkey.ini) so copying just MM5.DB will persist your UI settings.

Because my laptop screen is a lot smaller than my desktop, column selections and settings are different.

Can I somehow copy my database without it changing the settings?

Are you sure about that? It would make more sense that they were stored in the persistent.json file?

dypsis, I would try setting up the laptop as you want it, and then drop in a copy of MM5.db from your main PC.
That may retain much of your laptop settings.

LowLander, is there any issue with this experiment?

I suspected that.
I just thought that there may be a way to separate it.
Unfortunately not.

From time to time, I copy my MediaMonkey 5 database to my laptop.
Because my laptop screen is a lot smaller than my desktop, column selections and settings are different.

Can I somehow copy my database without it changing the settings?
