Can you please elaborate that. This is very old thread and I can't replicate.

I have just recently upgraded to 5.0.3.2627 on Win10 21H2 and I am experiencing the same problem with an audiobook (MP3 Lame). Last 5 or so seconds just get cut-off and following track/chapter plays instead. Crossfade is off.

Hi -- I'm experiencing this issue intermittently as well. Should I go ahead and try the 5.0.2 beta, or just wait for its official release? (I don't mind waiting; I usually hang back on updates anyhow.) And if I did download, what's the difference between debug and regular beta versions?

I just set up v5 today. As a fairly longtime user, I want to say thanks to the developers for this -- this little bitty bug aside, v5 is awesome -- especially the casting functionality, which is really, really, really good. It is SO GOOD to have that and have it work. At least with the connections I have, MM's casting beats the tar out of the Qobuz app, which is what I've been using over the past 18 months. Hi, this is a new problem for me.
Today MM is skipping the last five seconds or so of the song I'm playing.
Some googling found these two possibilities: cross fade and remove silence
I've unchecked crossfade and remove silence is also unchecked on the output plugins
I've rebooted my laptop!
still skips the last five seconds.
Hair has been pulled out. Any other things to try? (going to try reinstalling MM, see if that helps)

OK, so this may be why I've never noticed this before: if I'm playing to headhphones or speakers, there's no skipping.
This seems to be a problem specifically with streaming to chromecast.
