I think i already fixed that when i renamed Playlists to Playlist thinking there's no S on video so maybe it don't want a s on playlists. all the folders are granted but it still only resyncs 8 playlists every time i sync even though i haven't touched a playlist on either end. but still won't move to the playlists folder. I cleared Data and reset the app three times. now my bluetooth won't play music on YT Music every time i get in the car. I have to press play each time and when I'm door dashing I am in and out of the car constantly. i reconnected the bluetooth 3 times. i can't win for losing. Yesterday It was fine.

Ok I just renamed the Playlist back to Playlists and fixed the Video space. now i have everything granted but i also have two Mediamonkey storage for Video and Playlists. so it still wants to use off limits storage. I hate what android has become. and Google. I can't even look at the files in the Android folders. and some apps like Rec Forge is'nt working now for the regular folder and it puts it in a folder under Android. how will i access it now? unless the Media folder and Data Folder have different rules.

OMG!!!! I clicked the refresh button i didn't see a the bottom of the screen and went to delete one of the media monkey folders and it took both of them away and said something about moving files then i check the file explorer and there's now playlists in the Playlist folder!!!! OMG!!! so maybe the extra space that frequently gets tacked on the back of the words must have been the problem all along. do you think that is what caused the problem?

also had to fix the playlist folder in Poweramp and now i have playlists in poweramp.

I put off resetting my laggy phone since April because of how much I have on my phone. lots of pictures and music. and worrying about things going wrong. the camera on the phone has been so laggy it feels like a cheap low end phone. now the camera works fine. when i got my new computer while back it was a real mess fixing photoshop and filmora video editor and media monkey because windows likes ot change your profile name on the folder to the first 4 of your email address so it breaks everything that needs a specific file path. i had to purchase Media Monkey Gold just so i could fix my library on the new computer. it's always a chore resetting stuff even though it's 10 times easier then hte windows 98 days. ugh god i don't miss those days when you had to do a full format and reinstall in DOS and everything. I had to do that every 6 months to a year because windows used to fall apart fast for power users.

Description: get error messages when granting folders for Video and Playlist. cleared data for the app twice and set up twice. it ends up with two playlist listing's and two video listing's where one is granted but the other is not. but there's only one video folder so it's obvious it's making a duplicate entry. must have spent 6 hours going round and round with it. went to bed angry.

I'll have to look for the debug. looks like that is on the app. I'll have to find the forum on my phone and send it with my phone. I did like you said like 20-40 times last night but it accepted one Playlist folder but not the other but both folders are empty. the video folder also is granted but also another listing for Video still wants to be granted but i only have one Video folder so i don't know why it granted one and made another listing that needs granted same as with playlist. I don't have this problem on my tablet yet. Before i reset my phone I did have a video folder that wouldn't' grant either but i don't sync videos to my phone only my tablet.

sorry for the inconvenience, but unfortunately MediaMonkey doesn't have permission to create root folders due to the security policy set by Google.

It seems that access permission to the "Playlists" folder still was not granted.

1) Verify that the existing folder is named "Playlists" not "Playlist".

2) Verify access permission for MMA:
i)Go to Options/Library & Sync/Grant access to external storage/
and there should be a "Playlists" folder with a Grant button listed.
ii)Hit the Grant button and the folder with the same name on the root should be opened directly in the file manager
iii)Hit the "Use this folder" button at the bottom.

if any error occurs during these steps, you can send a debug log to us to analyze what happened.
(Options/Help/Send logs and write down Log ID)


If the "Playlists" folder does not exist, then all playlists are synced to the internal MediaMonkey folder, which is not accessible by other media players.

help? I hope to have my playlists fixed before i do Door Dash this evening. Otherwise my evening will be messed up again. I saw in the MMA settings that it did take the playlist folder. I'm wondering if it's a bug with the app and permissions.

ok I'm furious now. it's syncing the playlists lists again and still Empty Playlists folders. Rescan in poweramp. Folders 1028 playlists 0 Songs 9383. the Explorer app sees nothing as well. so much for a having a nice Galaxy S 23 Ultra and nice speakers and earbuds but no playlists. I'll never get to bed on time. It's been almost another hour since i first posted. I have a bad headache or migraine now for the past hour.

i tried again and when it asked me for permissions instead of the first option for limited use i selected all the time.
but i am trying to grant permissions and i got it to take the playlist folder and the video folder but then it shows another playlist folder and video folder and won't let me go to the next screen because it gives an error message everytime i try to grant access just like before and it says it will put the files in a media monkey folder buried deep in the OS then to put it where it used to so other apps like power amp can see the playlists. meanwhile my playlist folders are empty. I give up. so much for buying apps and software.

great. since i have no help yet i deleted settings and started fresh on MMA and now it won't let me use it because i didn't tell it what pictures and videos to load from the stupid android explorer window. Why do i need to select photos and videos? Which photos do i select? the photos of trains cats scenery or what? or does it want album covers in jpg? i never seen the popup in my life and it wsn't there earlier when i first set the stupid app up. I wish there was an app as good as Poweramp that would sync with Media Monkey desktop . is there a alternative app to sync with Media Monkey Desktop?

I'm angry. on the verge of a autistic/ADHD meltdown since 4pm and it's now 10pm trying to get my playlists to work. I have a new fancy speaker with party lights i want to take outside and enjoy before it gets too late to play music loud outside. I even made a new playlist folder in the root folder. i told Media Monkey to add that to the sync settings. it still syncs all my playlists to some folder I can't find it in the Music Folder or the Playlist folder in the Music folder or the Playlist folder in the root folder. There's so many things i hate about the mobile app and this is the end of my rope. I resycned the phone about 20 times and rescanned the Poweramp library about 20 time and checked explorer and still no playlists. I was going to try to copy the playlists manually from the computer for temp solution but they're also missing from my music library and the playlist folder. i right clicked a couple of playlists after highlighting them and there's no option to export them. why does everything have to be so complicated? so much for listening to a playlist while on Door Dash tonight. had to keep hearing the same albums over and over because i can't drive and change the music very easy. i hate listening to one album at a time unless I'm in one of those moods where I can't get enough of an album. I have 200 playlists btw. I'm an audiophile. not a causal listener that uses the stupid sexests playlists that excludes female country singers. most country playlists on any of the streaming services i tried over the years don't have a equal playtime of female artists. I would show some screenshots but this forum is old school and expects us to upload elsewhere and link back then when i delete the photos from the photo sites then the pictures will be missing from the forum. like other forums with broken images.
