Not in MM2024, but we're currently working a feature set for the next major version and hopefully this could get there.

Hi,

I'm curious if there's any movement on this. I get the occasional user upgrading to MM5 discovering their visuals no longer work.

Willing to help support your efforts on this.

just to clarify, we understand that this is a limitation and have always been considering a solution that'd enable to use a native code for such specific tasks. Feel free to drop me an email so that we could discuss whether you need anything more than a native WinAmp API support as we had in MM 4.x.

Thanks,
Jiri

I just want to chime in and say that I would be so happy to have SoundSpectrum visuals in MM. I used them extensively when I had a weekly Twitch show several years ago (with permission) and still to this day I think they are some of the best, most diverse visuals out there. Fingers crossed that this will become available!

Ok, thanks -- figured but wanted to confirm.

Winamp visualization plugins are not supported by MM5 yet, as MM5 uses Chromium/JS framework. I.e. it is cross-platform, but old DLLs do not work. Visualizations are added as JS scripts in Scripts folder, see folders with prefix "vis_" there.

Hi y'all, Andy O'Meara from SoundSpectrum here trying to figure out what MM5 needs in order for our vis dlls to show up.

For example, placing a signed, ready vis_G-Force.dll in the Plugins dir results in no apparent change in available visualizers.

Perhaps I'm missing something on what it takes for MM5 to enable a vis .dll it finds?

Thanks,
Andy
