6 years later, but I think this issue still exists.
If I update some tag information (just change the date or album art or something like that) in Media Monkey, the timestamp of that file is also updated. But if I then auto-sync to a phone/tablet using Media Monkey, when the file already exists on the target device, this file isn't updated. The timestamp on the target isn't changed, and the tag isn't changed.
If I first delete the file on the target, and then sync, then the updated file gets copied across. So I'm sure the tag is being updated correctly on the PC, and I also double-checked this using mp3tag.
During the sync, I can see Media Monkey shows (tag) in parentheses, in front of the filename. And the syncing runs much faster (further showing that the file isn't actually updated).
