^This would be my suspicion as well going by the problem described. If you're purchasing Micro SD cards from online retail sources, my experience has been that it's more difficult in purchasing legit micro SD cards than to purchase the fakes.
Every micro SD card I purchase online, now has to go through a suite of visual and s/w tool inspection tests before I use it.
To eliminate the possibility that the MicroSD cards are fake, I would recommend using these PC freeware tools to inspect the card prior to attempting to sync to them using MMW or MMA.
-RMUSBPrep
-Chip Genius
-FakeFlashTest
-h2Testw
Many consider h2Testw to be the standard in confirming if you have a fake or not and also takes the longest to test, but all these tools will wipe out any previous data during the write tests.
Then for Android Apps on your phone, I recommend the following apps.
- SD Insight
- SD Card Test
If you're using Samsung Micro SD cards, I have a review posted on Amazon for one of my recent purchases on how to visually identify the fakes compared the legit cards.
