OK, I do apologize.

I have just found that 'delete local copy' deletes only the file from disc, but link to the remote copy remains in the database.
So you are right, the wording needs clarification/improvement ;-)

If I rip my CD, I have just two things to deal with on the computer: the track and the MM db entry. If I download from GPM, I now have three, because I also have the track in my GPM library.

If you open your mind to all the use cases people may chose to use the new tools that you deliver with MM5, I think you will find reasons why people want to keep only one, or two, of these copies, and may want to manage them independently.

eg. I downloaded it it ... I no longer have space on my PC ... I want it in MM so I can use it in playlists that I will sync to GPM ... and if I play it from home, I am OK for MM to play from my GPM source. ... and why would it be a deadlink if I still have the GPM version?

Or I downloaded the track and ripped it disk for the kids to play in the car, or to play at a party... I want to keep the track, but I don't want it in MM because it is not part of "my collection".

Yes, I am sure that it is "quite clear" to you .... and am sure that it is clear enough for a person who uses MM heavily, and who has the time to experiment with it to learn all the incompletely explained things ... but is that good enough?

and what does option "Remove from the library and delete (note: this deletes all copies) do? .... what is "the library" .. is this MM, so you are saying that you will remove the track from MM ... or does "the Library" refer to my GPM library?, and that you would delete bot the local and remote copies of the track .... if so you message should be more explicit.

I think that "this deletes all copies" clearly indicates that all copies (local + remote) will be deleted.
Nevertheless I entered the wording item (as item 14) to be reviewed by Rusty, but it seems quite clear IMHO.

Thx, re-opened https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=15133 for these items (12,13,14,15) to be looked into.

EDIT: 12,13,15 will be fixed in 2155

If the file mask for the default location contains "<album artist>", the Downloads node shows that downloads are being downloaded to folder "Unknown"
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5sgu7l258gc1i ... n.png?dl=0

At completion the contents of the "Unknown" folder are transferred to a folder having the Album Artist name ... but sometimes files are not transferred to the expected target folder, and are left behind in the "Unknown" folder. ... There seems to be multiple causes because some file have size of 10kb, and some are full tracks, but they don't have tags.

No error message ... no download log file to send you. ... which is a problem IMO

I did see one error message arising from my testing of downloads ... but the message is of no value at all ... it does not clearly identify the problem track, and gives no indication of what went wrong.

I wanted to delete the partial local download, ... ie. delete the downloaded tracks, and remove them from MM, so I could try downloading again ... the confirmation dbox is unclear ... it doesn't state whether the removal will also remove the track from the MM db? ... unlike normal "Remove" there appears to be no option to just delete the track from MM? ... and what does option "Remove from the library and delete (note: this deletes all copies) do? .... what is "the library" .. is this MM, so you are saying that you will remove the track from MM ... or does "the Library" refer to my GPM library?, and that you would delete bot the local and remote copies of the track .... if so you message should be more explicit.

If I am at Devices&Services>GPM>AllTracks, and I have the Column Browser control open with col 1 = Source.
And then I navigate away to some other node, eg. EntireLibrary>AllTracks
And then I go back to Devices&Services>GPM, and press AllTracks again ... a delay while you rebuild the unpersisted view ... and then panel displays, but the Source column in the Column Browser just contains 1 filer row ("link") ... The only way to see the other filter rows ("download" and "drive") is to close and reopen the Column Browser.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/9s5vr5r1ez9h6 ... s.png?dl=0

Also the view does not seem to be live ... ie. if I have done no downloads, there is no "download" row, as expected ... but then if I do a download, a "download" Column Browser row is not created
