I don't think a debug log will help, and a bug report can be generated only by a user! ;)

by Wargazm » Fri Jan 25, 2008 3:56 pm

Is there any way I can generate a bug report or something that could help debug this?

by chrisjj » Fri Jan 25, 2008 3:42 pm

Seems it's dependent on another variable. What do others see?

by Wargazm » Fri Jan 25, 2008 2:45 pm

but I am using 3.0.2.1131.

When I do exactly that on V3.0.2.1131, I'm not sent to the top of the list. I stay near the delete point. Perhaps the behaviour changed since your version?

*I am in the Artist & album artist node, with Show Track Browser turned on and in Show Album Art with Details mode.
*I scroll down in the main window (not in the track browser) to an album I want to get rid of.
*I hit the delete key.
*A pop-up comes up asking me if I want to delete the tracks from the library, or from the library and computer. I select Library and Computer and hit Yes.
*The tracks are deleted and I am sent to the top of the album list.

I'm glad to find I don't get that at all. When I Remove an album from the tree's Album list, MM leaves me on the next album in the list - exactly what I want.

Indeed! Please detail the steps to reproduce.

Agreed - very annoying. Another vote to change it.

on a related note: if I am in album view and I delete an album from my library/computer, MM sends me up to the top of the list. Very annoying, especially if I'm going through my "To Listen" folder, deleting stuff I don't like, and I'm working near the end of the alphabet.

I started using MM a couple days ago and so far love it. But this is definitely the only thing that has really irked me. So much so that I decided to create a forum profile and make this my first post as soon as I saw the topic.

Please make "back to previous view" preserve the scroll position. Currently it changes the vertical scroll position so to move the selection to the top.
