For anyone interested, I've converted this skin for MM3. See:

Its not fully compatible. The player, float player, and mini player won't be skinned, but the rest of the program will be.

if steegy is still around? i don't know if he will convert it or not?

he is in college with lots of engineering home work so he might not have time.?

i won't do it.

but steegy if you want to do it fast then don't use peke's templete that is outdated.

but then again with the errors that come along with converting skins from mm2 it is mostly a pain to get them all fixed, or worked around. so you should use one of the skins i did for trixmoto as the templete.

only thing you need do then is make the background bmp a little bigger to fit the one i did. just copy the very end of the player on to an added image to the background so it won't look bad when used.

but the buttons all line up and stuff on the ones i did.

but if you don't want to convert it i can sure understand why.

the ones that want small foot print and all buttons lining up should get either of the skins converted for trixmoto or the ones i made. like the esthetic hi fi skin which is now vertical and horzon.. stretching.

or just bite the bullet and go with the new skins they are better to use and can use all the features of mm 3.

hey you did not know about the mm 2 skins until you tried them?

I want to join in on the 'SoftBlue for 3.0' campaign. I ran across this skin shortly after I started using the Monkey, never changed. However, with 3.0, I'm left without my SoftBlue. :(

the trouble MarineBrat is that mm 3 can not support
small fixed sized players yet.

they did in previous versions of alpha 1 - 5 but in alpha 6 they changed something and now theres an error that shows up cutting the image for the main player in half.

the float player works and the main player will work with a little more steps to make it work.
which are
1. start media monkey up change to the fixed player skin you want to use.
2. turn off the now playing playlist.
3. switch to the mini player.
4. leave the now playing playlist off. and right click on the icon
in the system tray and exit media monkey.
5. restart media monkey and you now have the full image of the fixed size player.

that is the only work around i could find to get my 3 fixed player sizes working.

but it does work that way so in doing that you can use one of my fixed size players or if steegy or someone else has made a new one then you can use that.

my fixed players are Esthetic Hi Fi (copy of mm2) Nohitter151,and The trucking monkey.(these 2 are fairly large)

i have the suggested sizes for the screens to use my skins on my wiki screen shots.

not taking over your post steegy just had to tell marine brat the information.

MM3 needs a new skin where the player can take up a small footprint. I'm currently using Aqua3, though there's some problems with the player buttons.

Will you update this for MM3? Please...

Interesting. Override Skin Backgrounds was not checked. But Customize Tree Background was. So I checked Override Skin so I could uncheck Customize Tree and then unchecked Override Skin again and all is well. Thats the only way it would work. Simply toggling Override Skin wasn't doing anything.

@fareal: Make sure that you haven't chosen to override the skin's backgrounds: uncheck "Override skin backgrounds" in menu Tools > Options... > Appearance > Skins.

Thanks for the nice words everyone!

@Lowlander: now I have no time to make changes, but you can easily override the missing tree background with your own bitmap (e.g. just white color), for now.
