I've been checking out the Pin It! function.
I like how I can throw pretty much any media type or mediaNode type in there (unlike playlists).
REQUEST: I'd love to
be able to add sub-folders within the "Pinned" node, so I can organise "
Pinboards" for each of my family members and friends, as a means of providing an easy curated menu of things they can do on my media server.
This simplification would help a great deal, for instance, when my mother comes to stay

I do this kind of "curation" thing using the Favourites menu in Kodi, on her own media center, and it works brilliantly to not overwhelm her with choice, but also provide a couple of options to dig into a few select directories (both online and local), should she feel adventurous.
Pinboards would also mean a modification of the "
Pin it" context menu item. It might change to something like "
Pin to >" and have a list of the Pinboards pop out next to it.
Expanding on This Idea, for The Future...
Further down the line, someone (possibly me even, eventually?

) could create an addon to be able to send & sync curated "Pinboards" to other people -- members of your family, or friends. Personally, this would be great for my family members, to allow my brothers and sisters -- if they each used MM as their desktop media hub -- to share in the curation of my mum's media consumption (A private VPN and media hosted on network shares supports this). They would just add to my mum's shared pinboard. As old folks age, they really need things to be simple -- and navigation of multiple unfamiliar libraries looking for something suitable to watch or listen to becomes just too frustrating for them, in my experience.
