How to recognise a Virtual CD song vs a library song?

If looking at a row in the Songs table, what is the best way to recognise a track which is on a "virtual cd" but not in the main MM library.

is it best to join off IDMedia to the Medias table, and use something there?
or some substring of the SongPath column?
or something else?
