Re: Now playing for Discord

I'm an old-school fan of splitting layers. Basically I wrote a small script in VBS, for MM, which writes the current song data out into a file. Then there's a separate JS bot for Discord that runs via node, which takes that info and sends the info to discord. The advantage of this was that it worked...

Re: Confirmation to delete file from disk, when deleting from playlist.

Indeed, that fixed it. That's a bug - the UI should be driven by the settings.

Re: Confirmation to delete file from disk, when deleting from playlist.

Like I said - every single one of mine is check (enabled).

I was removing a song from a playlist I created, and it deleted the file from disk, without confirmation.

Yep, that's exactly the first place I looked.

Take a look at yours, and then tell me which of them would correct my problem?

FYI: Every single one of mine is checked, except "Confirm rename..."

Re: Now playing for Discord

If people are still interested in this, I wrote a discord bot, that works with a MM script, and announces the currently playing song. However, it requires that both systems are on the same machine. Then a friend took this a bit further, and made it work off the streaming data. Happy to discuss this ...

Confirmation to delete file from disk, when deleting from playlist.

Somehow MediaMonkey has become convinced that when I press delete on a file in a playlist, I *also* want to delete it from disk. And it does so without asking for confirmation! If I hadn't been using Dropbox, I would have lost a lot of stuff. This only happens in playlists, not in 'now playing'. How...

Re: When will you port to Linux?

Yet another voice in the chorus of "MM is one of the only reasons I boot into Windows". I bought the gold license because the program handles large libraries with extensive tagging, and I've invested a huge amount of time there. VERY much looking forward to the linux release. I'll happily buy gold f...

Re: Skip silence option? [#13959]

Yeah, this remains an annoying 'feature', when you're trying to force a little time for contemplation between songs or other media. If I add half a second of silence on each end... I don't want MM to helpfully remove it again during playback. Just a simple 'skip silence at start or end of tracks' ch...

Re: When will you port to Linux?

Yet another person driven away from windows. Media Monkey is one of the few reasons I ever boot into windows anymore. The market's there. I bought a gold lifetime for windows, I'd probably do it again for linux.
