After updating Google and rebooting my phone, MMA seems to be working now. I've listened to music for a few hours and experienced no crashes. Thanks for your help!

Re: MMA crashing after Android update
That link doesn't take me to a MMA download. I currently have build 932 on my device but don't see a laster version in the Google Play store for MMA beta.

Re: MMA crashing after Android update
I uninstalled and reinstalled MMA but it still crashes either immediately after launching or within a few minutes.

[SOLVED AFTER GOOGLE UPDATE] MMA crashing after Android update
My Samsung Galaxy S10 updated Android 10 to version 4.14 117-18725736 yesterday and since then MMA crashes within a few minutes of starting. Sometimes it crashes at startup, other times after it plays for 5 or 10 minutes. Now it is crashing at startup every time. It does appear to be sending crash r...

Strange error message when importing new songs
Most of the time when I'm adding new songs to MM I get the following error message several times during the import: The media transfer process on Movie Backup appears to be frozen. If the issue doesn't resolve on its own within a few minutes, please disconnect the device and reboot it. If the proble...

Thanks, Pavle. I'll give that a try.

Re: Disc and track numbers
Thanks, Pavle. I had discovered that workaround, as well. With aver 250K files, manually updating each one is not practical. I'm not sure of the implication of the data being stored as a text string versus a number. When I tried manually changing a couple of files then looked at them with Mp3tag, wh...

BPM analyzer
I'm hoping someone can recommend a program that will climb through a directory structure analyzing the BPM for all of the music files and update their tags. I've found a couple of programs that will do one file at a time or all of the files in a single folder but none that will process an entire fol...

Disc and track numbers
Now that I am fully migrated from iTunes to MM, there are a couple of minor differences in the UI that I'm hoping to deal with. The first is the way MM displays disc and track number. In iTunes I was able to display the disc and track numbers in the format Disc 2/3 Track 4/16. In MM it will only dis...

Re: Migrating from iTunes [#16036]
That last patch solved the problem of the Last Played metadata. It took MM a few hours to scan my files and process the iTunes XML file to write the Last Played data to the MM database. Then it seemed like MM did a second pass over my XML file which is the pass that takes a few days to complete. I a...

Re: Migrating from iTunes [#16036]
MM finally finished scanning my library. It took about 8 hours to scan my files into a new database and 78 hours to scan my iTunes XML file. The XML scan did import all of my iTunes play counts and playlists but, once again, did not update the last played data. Ludek, I'm sending you a PM with a lin...

Re: Migrating from iTunes [#16036]
I discovered that if I added a new song to iTunes, played it a couple of times and re-scanned that MM picked up the play count for that track. I backed up my MM database (just in case), deleted the database and did a fresh scan. The scan took 8 hours before it got to the iTunes part, then in the fir...

Re: Migrating from iTunes [#16036]
It finally finished importing data from iTunes. It took 79 hours and during that time my MM database grew from 546MB to 788MB. After it completed there was no change to number of plays or last played date or pretty much anything else that I could see. It did import all of my iTunes playlists, though...

Re: Migrating from iTunes [#16036]
Thanks, Ludek. It seems to be working, albeit slowly. The "Importing data from iTunes... (tracks)" has been running now for about 26 hours and, judging by the green progress bar, is about 40% complete. Windows Task Manage & Performance Monitor show quite a bit of CPU and disk activity by MM so I ass...

Thanks. I sort of figured I'd need to do something like that.
