Re: added (date a file is added to the DB)

Hi, there is an example Playlist called "Recently Added" but that also has the criterium of Added <(days ago) nn [PLUS a second limitation based on either megabytes / files or minutes. I do not think you can do exactly what you want currently with MMW 2024. In MMW4 there is a add-on called...

Re: added (date a file is added to the DB)

Consider creating a Collection (Tools / Options / Library / Collections and Views). Use something like the following criterium: Match ALL Added <(Days Ago) 14 Type equals Music; Audiobooks; Classical Music In the All Files view of the Collection, add columns like Album Artist; Artist; Album; Title; ...

Re: Progress bar color.

There is a very good chance that you will find one of the available "skins" more acceptable. Take a look at: https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/browse/mediamonkey-5/appearance-1/skins-1/ I do not recall a particular skin that allows you to set the Progress colour, but the colour schemes us...

Re: Album title rename issue

If you wish to change the Album Name of multiple files, I would suggest using the Left Panel Media Tree. For example, using the Entire Library or Music Node, you can drill down by selecting the artist and then album. With the album selected / highlighted then press F2... Keep an eye on the status ba...

Re: Tips to avoid duplicates and stay organized

I was really looking for general suggestions/best practices as my troubles were some time ago and most likely self inflicted. I'm basically starting over with MediaMonkey as of today and wanted to find out if there was anything I should know before I got in deep. I MAY not have any issues. I suspec...

Thanks for adding this request. Just getting started using MMW for videos and I think this will help when devices not capable of showing higher resolutions (and / or "wide" aspect ratios).

[REQ] TV and Movies Video Resolution for Collections [#21024]

It is possible to display a "Resolution" column for <TYPE> equals TV and Video (Music Video? and Video Podcast?). However, resolution does not appear to be included in list of fields for matching criteria in the Collection Options dialogue. Please could <Resolution> be added to the criteri...

Re: WV to Flac and Then Split

Hi Lineare2, The CUE file is a text file, so I would have used NOTEPAD or EditPlus (any text editor). I use Medieval's CUE Splitter mostly, but FooBar is also useful. To be fair, I feel more work has been done within MMW to better handle multi-track FLAC files. So you may want to take a look at that...

Re: How to handle multi disc albums?

Hi, My Media Monkey Windows auto-organise (Tools / Options / Library / Auto-Organise) is aimed at sending files to a single hard disk with folders for each <Type> and then organising first by Album Artist and then by Album. [I also keep a backup on another PC that runs MMW4 - this is done using Salt...

Re: How to handle multi disc albums?

Consider the case of "Boxed" sets of CDs! I handle this by using hierarchical playlists e.g. Album Artist / Non-Boxed Set Albums + Boxed Sets (then Boxed Set Albums at the 3rd level down). A few typical boxed sets 1). Creedence Clearwater Revival --->Chronicle --->CD Box Set ------->The Go...
