Drag and Drop Albums from Explorer

This still isn't possible. When attempting to drag albums from Win Explorer to MM5 media tree (Albums). It only inserts a blank artwork place holder and either adds just one track (usually unplayable), or no tracks at all. This has to be deleted and library has to be manually re-scanned to add album...

Main album view height [#15797]

Since 2183 I don't seem to be able to adjust height of main album art view when also viewing column browser. up/down sizing arrows don't appear. Is this new or was it always like this? Column browser also sets at random heights after each reboot and can't be adjusted.

Re: Drag & Drop Albums not working

I Drag the whole folder from Windows Explorer, containing the album's tracks and folder.jpg from any new album, to the "Music" node in the media tree. This is my preferred method and always worked for me in MM4.

Drag & Drop Albums not working

Dragging an album from Explorer to a tree node (such as "Music") doesn't add album. What I get is a blank square saying "Unknown Album", with usually no tracks listed, though occasionaly displays one track (see image below. This album has correctly added art, both to Tag and folder.jpg). Deleting th...

Re: Couple of bugs [#15589]

Interesting. No idea why I'm having that issue. It is annoying because I can't directly upgrade; I always have to start layout from scratch, although it does import most other settings. Weirdly, the new portable install, which is in a folder of its own, inside my previous install, saves DB backups i...

Minimise/Maximise

Bug: After minimising then restoring MM5 window, album art (left) and media tree panels (right) revert to small size. This occurs with all skins and with album art panel (Now Right) and media tree panel (Now Left) reversed. See examples below. Note: Column Browser also reduces in depth. (All, possib...

Re: Couple of bugs [#15589]

I'll look into the watched folder problem and send you a debug log. The other problem regarding the Art panel was a legacy problem for me and it has indeed cleared up. I'd had problems when I tried updating v.2173 with another portable version (v.2175) and hadn't realised it hadn't written over the ...

Re: Couple of bugs [#15589]

There was a third problem I added from mobile but didn't upload for some reason... Physically adding albums to artist folders in Windows (10) File Explorer, with MM5 watched folder set to "Continuously" doesn't seem to find and add album. I have to make a manual scan.

Re: Couple of bugs [#15589]

Ah, I understand re: item 2. My confusion was caused because MM defaulted back to a previous layout for some reason. It's okay now. Thanks.

Re: Couple of bugs

Hi. Fantastic work on the bugs. MM5 is stable enough for me now to be used as my main media player. However... 1) Artwork panel still requires at least one other panel below it for it to remain at selected size after re-start. 2) Using "View/Configure Layout" panel always regresses to "Default" as t...

Re: Extraneous, unwanted album art [#15633]

Brilliant news - and so quick. Can't believe all those late nights trying to fix this came down to an apostrophe! I can actually see the double apostrophe in my screen grabs now I know they're there. Glad I persevered.

Thanks again.

Re: Extraneous, unwanted album art [#15633]

Thanks MiPi. I've PM'd you Dropbox links to a problem album and my MM5 DB. Hope something comes of it.

Thanks

Re: Extraneous, unwanted album art [#15633]

OK, I give up. I decided to bite the bullet and I installed a totally new version of MM5, backed-up and deleted my old full database then deleted it. I then built a totally new database from scratch. After waiting for almost 3 hours for it to catalogue over 91,000 files. I went to the three most reg...
