Re: MediaMonkey_2024.0.0.3082_Debug.exe

Except now that it is released, you may want the non-debug version, as there will be no more bugs to report :D

Re: Store Album Art inside MP3 tags?

This issue of unattached artwork seems to come up alot. Personally I prefer embedded (stored in tag) art, as I can then send the tracks by playlist individually regardless of album/folder affiliation, and the artwork will be there. I find smaller sized art sufficient for my purposes, and no ...

Re: 2x PCs , 2 x MM5, one drive common, Artwork doesn't update.

I think this issue has a lot to do with the caching of artwork, which nobody seems to understand or be able to explain how it works and what to do when it doesnt. Deleting all the cached artwork is one possible solution when it fails. I dont know why but the appdata folder has one cache called ...

Re: 2x PCs , 2 x MM5, one drive common, Artwork doesn't update.

As a user, I would say MM2024 is beginning to be what MM5 only hoped to be.. Many bugs fixed, and a number of improvements over a very long Beta cycle where I used a large number of the recent builds at some time or other. Latest almost ready to release build can be found here. You can install ...

Re: MM5 high CPU usage after OS upgrade to Windows 11

I had this issue with a Ryzen CPU - see this thread

viewtopic.php?p=519648&hilit=high+cpu#p519648

My problem was fixed in recent beta builds, though. Try the latest 2024 0 0 3081 it is totally stable.

[REQ] to have Playing Queues

I keep wondering why there is not more demand for this essential feature. So often, I have a now playing list, often in a shuffled (randomized) order, partly played, and I would like to play from a different list for some purpose ie different people, different occasion, testing purposes, new album ...

Re: Changing tags invalidates file location

Just some random thoughts here ... me being just another user. If each user installed portable in their own profile, this could definitely cause that effect, as each installation stores its own db in its own program folder location. Whereas if a single portable installation is being accessed by both ...

You should be able to select all of the requisite files, open properties, enter the info once, save and close.

Re: Latest RC is very slow to start for me

This was typical for me for the last couple of days. The list was loading 1500 out of my 14k total library. Changing this to "all files" makes no noticeable difference. Meanwhile, I received my 24H2 update, and after the first start of MM, which took 8 seconds, subsequent starts have been under 3 ...

Latest RC is very slow to start for me

I am finding the latest RC 3081 (non-debug) is very slow to start for me.

Takes about 8-10 seconds for the main screen to display, and then a few more second for the monitoring to complete.

Forum loads very slow

For me on Vancouver Island, BC since yesterday this forum only has been very slow to load (like several seconds) and to move from one screen to the next. Other forums and websites are working fine.

Re: Windows 11 folders no longer option to 'play in MM' with MM5 (or MM2024)

This does work for me in MM2024. I can right click a folder, selct play in mmm, and it appears to play in the current sort order.
Now to find the right settings to make it work for you.

Under options, general, OS integration, do you have checkmark next to "show context menu actions..."
