Re: Ability to choose "Sort Artist," "Sort Song Title," etc.
It seems that this field is a lot of work for the user and that's maybe why it has received little interest from users and developers True, it would have to be a manual step as I don't see how MM could differentiate between "David Allan Coe" and "Jane's Addiction" for example. T...

Re: ARTISTSORT Tag field
Well, this didn't make it into version 3. Is there ANY potential for this to be added to Version 4? I REALLY dislike using 2 programs, especially now that MM does an Accuraterip check. I only use EAC when I have a questionable/scuffed up disk. I was using 3 programs before. Mp3Tag is what I still ha...

Re: ARTISTSORT Tag field
I will add my vote for this. Right now I have to use Mp3Tag to add that field. I may as well just use EAC and then tag with Mp3Tag if I have use more than one program. But I like the Monkey so much for everything else!

Re: MMSaTe [4125]
Count me as another user discovering a bunch of these in my music directory. Can't say when this happened, but I am running 3.2.0.1294. I'll delete these if I can and see if more pop up later. Thanks Buck (maybe I didn't need to buy that 2TB hard drive? - Oh yes, oh yes I did! ) *EDIT* OK, I ...

Re: Something not quite right after upgrade to 3.2.0.1294
I appreciate the rant. :-) Thanks for reading the post. It sucks that a program that works well gets messed up by changes that are intiated by outside sources. I will say that it has been nice the past couple of days with UAC off. I realize now that UAC was having the opposite effect that was probab...

Re: Something not quite right after upgrade to 3.2.0.1294
Did some more stuff. Did another fresh install and then got errors stating that the process requires elevation. I started up MediaMonkey and same results as above. Uninstalled again. This time I shut off Windows User Account Control. I reinstalled again. This time it works. I think that somewhere it...

Re: Something not quite right after upgrade to 3.2.0.1294
OK I dug back in some of my saved files. I uninstalled 3.2.0.1294 and installed MediaMonkey_3.0.3.1140_Debug as a little test. This has got to be some weird Windows 7 thing, because now the old version is doing the same thing and I know this old version worked properly. Still going to fudge around a...

Something not quite right after upgrade to 3.2.0.1294
I recently noticed a weird development. Windows 7 decided that it wanted to give me the ol' "do you wnat to allow MediaMonkey to make changes to your system" prompt every time I start the program and every time I add a track to the now playing list by right clicking on a track. It's really...

Re: Adding tracks to library/database
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=33459 The method this person describes works just as I was hoping for. I haven't upped past 1183 myself so I don't know if I would have his problems or not. Re-reading your posts, it is essentially what I think you all were trying to tell me e...

Re: Adding tracks to library/database
Thanks for the suggestions! I thought a bit more about what I was suggesting originally. I can see a library becoming a hodgepodge of folders very quickly if you allowed a user to add tracks to the library regardless of what folder the tracks are located in. I like the idea of having a "new&quo...

Adding tracks to library/database
Hi! Is there an easier way to add tracks to the library? The only way I am seeing is to add/rescan tracks to library and then hunt down the directory you wish to add. Is there a drag and drop way to to do it? You can drag tracks from Explorer into the playlist, is there a way to add tracks in the pl...

Re: Slimdevices Squeezebox / Squeezecenter Support (Plugin) or D
OOOO! OOOO! Me too! Me too! As long as it can be direct control of the SqueezeCenter and not simply a playlist creation utility. I THINK SqueezeCenter can already use playlists created by MM and WMP etc. Nice suggestion.

Re: 1183 Disc rip problem
I ran the debug Dbgview program from Microsoft. As soon as I initiated the program, the thing spilled out over 40000 lines stating "[4980] Invalid parameter passed to C runtime function." It would continue this until I shut the debugger off. What I found is I have another program causing t...
