Re: Play Now and Play Next behaviors changed

If you have "Tools/Options/Player/Default Double Click Action" set to Play Now, and it doesn't play now... then that's a tough one. I'd start by renaming the MM.INI file and let the configuration start over.

Re: Long load times with Windows 10 and real time protection enabled

I can confirm that installation of MagicNodes on my Win10 MediaMonkey 4.1.28.1905, with adding ALL MagicNodes upon install, made it so that clicking from one Playlist to another takes 9 seconds. Every time. Even going back and forth between two playlists takes 9 seconds each click. Uninstalling Magi...

Re: MediaMonkey 4.1.15 stealing auto-play for iPhone

When you connect iPhone copy paste "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\AutoPlay" into Windows explorer address bar and after AutoPlay window gets opened scroll down to your iPhone and set default behavior on Connection. That is one of the steps I noted in my message above. MediaMonkey ...

MediaMonkey stealing auto-play for iPhone [#13654]

I have a Windows 7 machine, and iPhone 6 running IOS 10.2.1. This machine has never had iTunes installed, and I have never used it to sync. The other day I updated MediaMonkey from 4.1.14 to 4.1.15 and since then it automatically runs whenever I plugin my iPhone. When it auto-runs it then complains ...

Re: MM5 has nice new facilities, but disappointing losses

My 0.02 cents. I installed the alpha and immediately took a strong dislike. All of the development communities seem to want to remove the power-user abilities of their programs and give them all touch screen simplicity. And now everyone need only learn to count to one... with one finger to manage th...

MediaMonkey 4.1.0.1681 Beta (13*3)

I was going to download this until I noticed that it was the 13th post on the 13th page of the thread, and it was posted on Friday the 13th.

Or is a triple 13 a good thing... like 3 lefts making a right?

Merry Christmas!

Re: BPM.tapper [v1.0] - time BPM 's in MM [MM 2 / MM 3 limit

It doesn't work in 4.0.7 for me. Yes, the screen comes up, and the [TAP] button records the timing of your taps, but when I click on [Save] nothing happens. BPM is not written to the database nor the file tag.

Any hope of getting this updated for 4.0.7?

Re: What "Type" for standup comedy?

Thanks for the quote MusicBringer. I appreciate it. I just happen to have lots of old standup comedy albums from the 60's and 70's when I was a big fan of Bill Cosby, Bob Newhart, etc. And while I love those guys, I don't want their standup comedy to pop up into auto playlists. :) I don't need for t...

What "Type" for standup comedy?

I've got lots of standup comedy tracks. None of the 8 pre-defined "types" seem appropriate.

Any suggestions? I'd lobby for "Spoken Word" as a new type. Or "Standup Comedy" perhaps?

Re: How to tell which database/INI I've got open?

My suggestion would be to put it under Help/About. There could be a button that displays the contents of different variables, and makes it easy to copy them to the clipboard.

How to tell which database/INI I've got open?

I have multiple machines from which I run MM, and when I'm working on one or another I like to copy the database locally for the speed advantage, otherwise I let the database sit on the network and share it among the different machines. My trouble is that I know of no easy way to tell which database...

Re: Multiple database synchronization

Thanks for the feedback. I may have to look into that sync program you linked to. It looks interesting, and I'd like it if it were able to sync my multiple databases from different computers over the years. I wish MM made it easier to tell the location of the current active DB and INI files, and to ...

Multiple database synchronization

I have three computers from which I like to run MediaMonkey. My laptop, my desktop, and a PC that I have in the living room hooked up to the TV & stereo. The music files are on an external hard disk connected to the desktop, which I never turn off. It's shared as the M: drive over the network, a...
