Re: My AV receiver and TV cause MM to crash
So I spent a chunk of time last night trying to understand how the different plug-ins work. I've switched to using WASAPI in 'exclusive' mode and that has (largely) fixed the problem. The downside of this is that it causes my amp to 'pause and click' every time I stop/start an audiostream as it appe...

Re: MediaMonkey for iphone
Hi Lowlander Thanks for pointing me to this thread. I understand what you're saying but I'd still find an iPhone app very useful. I could imagine the app circumventing the existing iPhone sync altogether mechanism altogether as that's what other media apps do. Might be worth checking out AVPlayer wh...

Re: My AV receiver and TV cause MM to crash
Hi Lowlander, Yes, I've tried with 'MediaMonkey DirectSound output', 'MediaMonkey WASAPI output', and 'waveOut output v2.0.2a'. Same problem with all of them. The AV receiver must be sending some commands to my HTPC to notify it of things like channel changes, which in turn crashes MM. Is there a wa...

iOS app?
I'm surely not the first person to ask for it but I can't find any posts on the topic so here goes: how about iOS MM app that works just like the Android version? I actually tried to switch to Android just so I could access Android MM. Unfortunately I hated the Samsung Note4 so much that I'm back on...

My AV receiver and TV cause MM to crash
I've been using MM for many years on my huge music collection and love everything about it. Everything except for it crashing and hanging all the time. I've had problems for years despite using different PCs, OS versions and Windows installations. The problem is somehow related to the HDMI connectio...

Re: Upgrading library using music cloud service?
Thanks for that suggestion. It looks a bit daunting and complicated but probably worth the effort. I hope it works with fuzzy matching as the metadata on Amazon track is unlikely to match my own files perfectly... I think this will be a project to tackle over the Christmas break while the rest of th...

Upgrading library using music cloud service?
Hi there, I'm a longtime MM user with a huge music collection. Unfortunately some of my music was ripped at fairly low bitrates (back when storage was expensive!) so I'm looking for an easy way to upgrade these files. As many of you will know, Google Music, Amazon CloudPlayer and iTunes Match all of...

Re: MM4 DB - Filepath issues after porting to new PC
Thanks for that tip! Whilst the script didn't work for me (I got the same VB script error a number of other Win7 x64 users have experienced), there was a link on the forum with instructions on how to manually edit MM.DB file to repoint to the new drive. Finally got it to work and am very pleased...!...

MM4 DB - Filepath issues after porting to new PC
Hello there, I've been happily using MM4 for some time but recently decided it was time to replace the PC that it runs on. On the new PC, I installed MM4 as "portable" and then copied the MM.DB from the old PC into the appropriate directory. When I now load MM4 I can see all my 20k tracks ...
