Re: Gapless playback broken in 5.0.3.2627 (worked in 5.0.0.2268)

Again, thanks for any insight and knowledge. Hi Monotonedef, yes, gapless playback is kind of tough, especially since it may be hard to figure out if it is the player or the audio file that is to blame for gaps. For MP3, there is a mechanism in place that allows for perfect gapless playback, if the...

Re: Gapless playback broken in 5.0.3.2627 (worked in 5.0.0.2268)

Hi, Past 1h I tried to replicate and Gapless works normally in Latest Beta https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86639&sd=d There was a regression that cut playback on the end, but we fixed it. If you do not want to update normal install that is on stable version 5627 insta...

Re: Gapless playback broken in 5.0.3.2627 (worked in 5.0.0.2268)

Check the settings under Tools > Options > Playback Rules. Make sure it's not set to introduce a gap between files. Thanks for the hint, I verified these settings and the MP3s are of type "Classical Music" which has no "fade in", no "fade out" and no "gap" se...

Gapless playback broken in 5.0.3.2627 (worked in 5.0.0.2268)

Hi, a while back, I reported an issue with gapless playback that was fixed in MM 5.0.0.2268. Now, in MM 5.0.3.2627, with the exact same two MP3 files I supplied as an example then, I now have an extreme gap of about 3 seconds between those two tracks. This is much worse than before (which was just a...

[REQ] Moving multiple directories in the left panel "Location" tree

Hi, using MM 5.0.1.2433 I would like to re-organize my media files, which requires moving a lot of directories containing media files into another directory. Auto-organize does not help me here, because I need to move directories and files above the directories containing the actual media files, whi...

Re: GAPLESS! ARRGH :P [#16940]

Is there still hope for a backport of the fixed gapless MP3 playback to MM4?

If it is not to big of a hassle, that would be a very nice feature.

iPod Shuffle: Creating Playlists for Albums on the Fly?

Hi, for some device plugins, e.g. "d_WMDM.dll", there is an option to automatically create album playlists on the device when (manually) syncing files. Unfortunately, the is no such option in the "d_iPod.dll" plugin, but it would be very handy, because the shuffle has no display ...

Re: Inconsistent use of icons for view mode switching

I don't agree your point about simple toggle buttons. ... Think of the Bold|Normal button on a text editor. Its state always documents whichever state the text editor is currently set to. .... anything else would be confusing IMO I disagree: The mentioned "Bold" button in text editors is ...

Re: "Add/Rescan" feature usability

Hi Pavle, Added as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=16997 I hope it will be better than it is now ;) that is very kind. However, if one knows how to quickly add a new folder to be scanned, I think it is no longer necessary: Tip: If you select a node in the Location or Folders node in t...

Re: Inconsistent use of icons for view mode switching

I don't think so, the view button should always show the actively selected view. It would be very confusing to show icon of a view that isn't selected. Also I don't know any app that wouldn't show the active view icon this way. Well, the button I circled in black does in fact not show the current v...

Re: "Add/Rescan" feature usability

Hi, Hi, To clarify things even further. In MM5 we try to simplify adding to library (as already said using folders or even Drag and Drop) and Add/rescan dialog is better organized to accompany Monitoring and also can serve as add/rescan. It was bit confusing in MM4 which and what option is right as ...

Re: "Add/Rescan" feature usability

I doubt that they'll revert this at the end of development. Yes, I totally understand that. Tip: If you select a node in the Location or Folders node in the Media Tree and start Add/Rescan Files it will be pre-selected for scanning. Unfortunately, the node/folder it not there yet in MM since I want...
