That looks like a REALLY cool piece of equipment. I will be getting one of those but one problem a few will have is that they have very little storage space and alot of people have huge music libraries.

Still it would be nice to have MM3 wherever you go

How many tracks to you have. The Sonos has a database limitation (around 40,000 tracks I believe). I have not encountered this yet as my music collection is in it's infancy compared to some MM users on this forum  The Squeezebox Duet, http://www.slimdevices.com/pi_duet.html might have done the...

cmx is right, The Sonos performance can be emulated at a lower cost and work just as well. The main reason I purchased the Sonos was: 1. The very very nice controller 2. Ease of use. (Yes I use MM alot but friends/visitors might be overwhelmed by it. Let's be honest, MM is great but looks a little c...

So, to test my understanding, Sonos & MM share the same database of music files and each constructs its own index? That is correct, however Sonos does NOT edit the files in any way. So ratings, tags, album art, location & classification are all left to MM. If you change any part of a file, ...

Karim, It's good to hear that you can use Sonos & MM together - the chap in the shop had suggested that I move to Itunes, which I don't really want to do. I don't quite understand the interaction - If I operated the system without a NAS drive and Sonos used the MM database on my pc, how does it...

I have the Sonos Sound System in my place. It consists of a Western Digital MyBook World Edition NAS drive plugged into a router, one of the Sonos ZP 100 receivers is plugged into the router to communicate with the NAS and the others are linked either via cable or via wireless (if it is not too far ...

Hi, I have to say that I am loving MagicNodes. However is it me or are MagicNodes not affected by MM3's filters?

Thanks for all the good work

I have ITunes installed on my old computer which runs at a snail pace and I don't use. I don't even have a monitor for it and it won't work with my current monitors because it is VGA and my new ones are DVI. So I VNC it with my new computer. When I hear of a firmware upgrade I drag the old boy out o...

2 more suggestions for Enhancements to AutoPlaylists

1. Search Criteria "Original Date"
2. Sort by "Album Artist" (Is it me or is this not available? I can't remember now)

Still being an XP user I am not too use to it. However I have seen the Vista method but it looks more complicated to implement. If it can be done it would be great but if the Winamp method uses less resources and works well I would opt for that.

Changing filters and not switching to Library node

I tend to use filters quite a bit but find it very annoying when I switch filters in the Navigation panel I am taken to the starting Library node and have to go back to my previous node.

Is it not possible to switch and let MM stay on the current node/playlist?

Regards

Personally I think 4 different sizes would be great. Winamp 5.5 has it and it works great. You simply click the "Album Art" button and a little sub menu appears asking you which size you would like and presto! The thumbnails all change instantly.

Different Album Art thunbnail sizes & grouping

For the album in the main window would be nice. I'd say the size they are right now would be a good "Medium" "Small", "Very Small" and "Large" would be great options. Maybe something to make the selection easier would be a drop down box with the 4 different si...
