Re: "Window is not loaded yet" exception
I am downloading the latest debug build right now and will install it shortly. MediaMonkey had been running/playing randomly continuously for 2.5 hours. About 1.5 hours before the exception I had started it playing a specific (9+ minutes long) tune still in random mode. I left my computer doing noth...

"Window is not loaded yet" exception
I have only been running MMW5 (5.0.2.2532) for just over a week. Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-7940X CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.10 GHz Installed RAM 64.0 GB (63.7 GB usable) Windows 10 Pro 64-bit; version 21H1 As an aside, I have a couple of times seen an exception for inaccessible memory at closing. Thereaft...

Re: Convert MM4 custom scripts to MM5
Thanks, Lowlander for the quick response! I had a vague recollection of reading something about that when MediaMonkey 5 first came out in beta but was hoping that it had been fixed by now.
How might I create my own custom commands (add-ons) for MediaMonkey 5?

Convert MM4 custom scripts to MM5
I just installed MediaMonkey 5 today. While I am not really adept at MediaMonkey’s scripting language, I have managed to create about twelve of my own custom scripts which allow me to quickly edit multiple files’ tags. Since the "Tools" menu no longer has a "Scripts" sub-item, is...

Re: Add text box to Dialog
I spent the whole day trying to pull myself up by my bootstraps and figured out almost all of it… ' A script that edits the Artist of selected tracks and also assigns the album artist Dim NameTextField, UI, MainWindow Set UI = SDB.UI Set MainWindow = UI.NewForm Set NameTextField = UI.NewEdit (MainWi...

Add text box to Dialog
I'm fairly new to MediaMonkey scripting. In my script I open a dialog and want to ask the user for some text input then use that text later on in the script. I have no idea how to create a TextBox (it need not be a RichTextBox) nor how to use its content (after testing to make sure that it is not em...

Re: Resetting the "Last Played" Column
It is also possible to do this by selecting the files you wish to change. Right-click to expose the context menu. The very last item, "Properties" opens a generic properties dialog which gives access to all the common items of the files selected. On the second tab (Details) of this dialog,...

Change away from FreeDB
I'm using what I think is the most current beta (4.1.29.1910). Part of the recent changes have been to move away from FreeDB. However, ripping a recent CD which was not found in the database pops up an error dialog (appropriately) but it says that it “could not find the album in FreeDB” when I am as...

Problem with a script: ExternalTools.VBS
I wanted to change an option (Library> Tags & Playlists> "Update tags when editing properties" checkbox). It was checked and I wanted to remove the check. I did so then clicked on the "OK" button and got this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/601xompc2v46s7s/ExternalTools.png?dl=0 (...

Re: MM won't recognize CD drive if it's letter is "B"
Thanks for the almost immediate reply! That was enough information to resolve my problem. However… Files are located on drive A or B and MediaMonkey isn't able to access them. To fix this remove the drive letter from IgnoreDriveLetters=AB in MediaMonkey.ini. For the location of MediaMonkey.ini see: ...

MM won't recognize CD drive if it's letter is "B"
Given that Windows only allows for 26 drive letters (A-Z, and I'm using them all) and with the understanding that "A" & "B" are traditionally reserved for "floppy drives" and might be ignored by Windows search indexing database (although this does not appear to be t...
