That's a major drawback for me. I use about 80% of all iPod syncing features in iTunes: album art, lyrics, videos, smart playlists, audio/video podcasts and audiobooks. Any specifics on which iPod features are supported? Album art, two-way rating sync, unlistened/listened flags for podcasts, playback position retention, that kinda jazz?

Translation:
Right-click your iPod in Windows Explorer and choose Properties. There, you can change your autoplay settings.

Disabling iPod AutoPlay

Another thing for on your list: iPod integration without having to use the iTunes API. I think that will be the toughest part of the job you're doing, but I would really appreciate it. :)
