Re: mm5 startup crash [#14017]
Maybe I'm alone with this but High DPI support is much more important to me then skinning. There are probably hundreds of Delphi apps that support High DPI, some I use are FastStone Image Viewer, TreeSize, UltraSearch and DVBViewer. I figured out that I can use a try/catch block in my extension to g...

Re: MM5 scripting, difficult debug experience
Thanks for looking at the z-order, can you also reproduce the lock/freeze issue? If not I could make a screen recording.

Re: MM5 scripting, difficult debug experience
After working on my new uwp/xaml/c# player project and examining musicbee and quodlibet I played a bit with MM5 again, startup exception didn't happen today, when I cause a exception in my script it still takes always 8 seconds (measured with timer, fast PC with i7 4Ghz CPU), the exception dialog st...

Re: mm5 startup crash
Regarding patience, I first reported lack of High DPI support 11 years ago! http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=49438&p=254899#p254899 I understand that building a new front-end with HTML/JS is very difficult and takes a lot time. I don't understand why the old front-end has...

Re: mm5 startup crash
Thanks for adding to the tracker. MM4 looks too pixelated due to lack of High DPI support and compatibility scaling performed by DWM (Desktop Window Manager) and MM5 has never worked for me more then 10 minutes until dialogs disappeared or crashes happened at every startup like now, when it crashes ...

Re: 2060 Some Hot-keys not working
It shows STRG for control modifier. Would it be much work to disable list view page up/down key handling in case page up/down key is assigned to an action? I need page up/down key for next/previous track action, for list view navigation pos1/end key and mouse scroll is enough for me. It's those litt...

Re: MM5 has nice new facilities, but disappointing losses
I don't mind any loss! Since I never worked with Delphi I have little idea why the old GUI had to go, a explanation for this decision would be very welcomed. MusicBee is also based on a legacy widget toolkit and looks significantly better on High DPI then MM. The legacy widget toolkit MusicBee is ba...

Re: 2060 Some Hot-keys not working
I confirm all these keys don't work by default starting with clean settings, one thing a noticed is by default it shows Alt+Enter but when I assign it, it shows Alt+Eingabe (Germany) and then it works, the enter causes a warning sound I confirm too, so far not a issue for me, I don't think I have a ...

Re: No progressbar on Icon when scanning for new files?
I was just curious about how many thousand tracks people have trying to make a point that in most cases more then a few hundred tracks are not worth to keep, mostly OT, sorry.

Re: frustration with MediaMonkey...
if you restore window position you absolutely must check if the window is within bounds of working area when you restore or I promise you it will be totally off screen or half off screen again! For instance when people use and change setups with multiple displays and extend mode, please note I have ...

Re: frustration with MediaMonkey...
On 144 DPI or more if you open/close options/properties dialog several times you don't see problems with dialog location and size? Both dialogs went off screen here in no time at 288 DPI 4K so I tried it in vmware 144 DPI 1920x1080 getting the same issue. Off screen means they are gone and only winl...

Re: No progressbar on Icon when scanning for new files?
how many tracks is it? my collection is about 350 tracks on a ultra fast ssd so scan takes like 3 seconds, typically I download about 1000 tracks with youtube-dl, check my trash memory extension for tracks deleted before, this trash memory list has 35 000 tracks so far that won't ever bother me agai...

Re: 2060 2 different Issues: 1. Windows XP 2. Virtualbox
maybe vmware player works better, it's free and much easier to move images to other locations, I found that it's a major pain in virtualbox, this and for other reasons I switched to vmware years ago and never had issues with it. I tested MM5 in vmware win 7 client and win 10 host often and never saw...
