When MM crashes for you, do you get a search window when you restart MM instead of the splash screen, which requires you to Cancel the search to open the MM browser?

Manage library from multiple PCs via Dropbox
Is it possible to install MediaMonkey so that it stores/looks for all of the database information in an alternate location, such as the local Dropbox folder (or Google Drive, or whatever your favorite cloudsync flavor is)? I often find myself not-at-my-desktop-computer when it would be convenient to...

Re: MM starts up with search dialog
Thanks - I didn't think I had any scrips at all, but there were a few in the program files directory. I'll disable them one at a time and see which one is causing the problem.

MM starts up with search dialog
When I start media monkey (4.1.7.1741 Gold) I'm greeted with a search dialog. I have to exit the dialog for the regular interface/UI to come up. I can't find an option to turn this off. The shortcut appears to reference only mediamonkey.exe, and passes no startup handles or options. Suggestions as t...

Re: Initial scanning very slow on Android
FWIW, I did a debug log, and MM is working. Slowly. Very, Very slowly. And, by some magical bonus, it's re-syncing 2/3 of my entire library(including conversions), which is now 3 hours into a 5 hour sync. For only a single song added to the library.

Re: Initial scanning very slow on Android
Is anyone else with this problem also getting a "Control 'PnlMain' has no parent window" error if you exit MM during the scan?
Or an "Access violation at address006EDB82 in module 'MediaMonkey (non-skinned).exe'. Read of address 00000040."

Re: Some Playlists Are Good; Some Don't Get Read
I'm in a similar boat, except that I'm missing playlists. I have 14 playlists - 2 auto and 12 static. Of those, the 2 auto and 6 of the static get transferred. Very similar conditions - music on external SD (rooted, rootfix for SD car applied) on a LG G3, Kitkat 4.4.2, using both Rocket Player and M...

Re: Phantom playlists
Well, I feel silly now. Yes, there were in the imported playlists. I didn't even realize that MM had nested playlists. Hopefully that will let me purge those (since I've recreated most of them already from scratch). Thanks! PS - there's definitely still some odd syncing behavior since some of the &q...

Phantom playlists
I'm not sure this is the right forum, but the playlists only seem to "exist" when syncing. I recently moved over from iTunes, and imported the playlists from iTunes during the setup process. None of the playlists show up under "Playlists" in MediaMonkey, but when syncing with my ...

Can't play Apple Lossless ootb?
Okay, so I've been away from MM for several years (old gold member) and thought I'd give MM another go on the new laptop since Apple doesn't believe in people owning and syncing an iDevice with more than two machines. I was shocked to find that MM4 can't play MP4/M4A or ALAC tracks out of the box. I...

Re: When did MM screw up offline files?
I should expand a bit (sorry, I'm a bit hot at the moment): When I go to "add tracks", the directories checked for library inclusion are listed under L:\, not <network>\<mwn>\Tower1 - the "location" root is the mapped drive letter. Here's where it gets odd. I can add them back by...

When did MM screw up offline files?
I was pretty sure that on an old version of MM, I could put all my files on my network (like they've always been - UnRaid server, access via SAMBA, mapped to a drive letter) and then by making these files available offline - i.e. cached locally and accessible through the drive letter - I could acces...

Re: Rip from networked / shared CD-ROM ?
Thanks, I suspected that might be the case. Google led me to a program that did the opposite - apparently Nero has (or had) a utility that would allow you to mount a remote cd/dvd drive for writing. I figured I'd ask the crowd if there was an easier way to do it first. Thanks!

Rip from networked / shared CD-ROM ?
I've got a netbook, and wanted to try and rip some CDs to it via MM. It's a full Win7 environment, all 64 bit. Home Premium on the "server" which has the DVD-RW drive and Pro on the netbook. I've shared the drive with read/write access, but MM doesn't recognize it as a CD drive that can be...
