Re: Problem with album art and iPod
I have the same issue with none of my album art syncing to my 3-year old 30GB IPOD. -THIS USE TO WORK FOR ME!- So I believe this is some MM 3.x bug. I used MM 2.x for a long time and sync'd artwork with embedded JPG's no problem. (Image Type - Cover (front)). I started having problems with duplicate...

Re: MM 3.x vs 2.x Party Mode Changes
Thanks for the feedback.
For #2, I guess it would be nice for a change in functionality like this if it were an option... so some people can have it the old way, some the new.

MM 3.x vs 2.x Party Mode Changes
I just started using MM 3.x and I use Party Mode all the time to keep the kids from making changes to the Library by mistake. Two things I've noticed different in MM 3.x compared with MM 2.x is: 1. In Party mode you can't select multiple tracks by holding down SHIFT in Now Playing... For example I l...

One thing that's been on my wishlist for a long time (that use to be in QCD/QMP I used) was hotkeys working outside of MediaMonkey... specifically so you can do CTRL-P to Play/Pause without it being in focus. I had my hopes up that's what the 'Global' checkbox was for? But it doesn't seem to work fo...

I use Windows Media Center for videos and am very happy with it. :) I use Media Monkey on that same 'PC' to listen to my music collection, and am happy Media Monkey works fairly well with the media center remote control. For me the expense of a dedicated media center PC (I got a Dell E1505 laptop fo...

I'm still looking to what can replace Meedio. I'm highly dissapointed by the purchase of Meedio and the changes Yahoo! has made so far. Yes, I hated that buyout too. Check out the open source MediaPortal. :) http://www.team-mediaportal.com/ I haven't totally migrated to it yet, but it looks like th...

My 2c as well (Great thread, I just read through it all...) There's 2 things everyone should realize: 1. The -big- thing is Genres are subjective so in my opinion you have to personalize them. I went and wiped out all my Genres 6 months ago and started just adding them from scratch a little at a tim...

Read-ahead Buffer
I just started using MediaMonkey with my new laptop with fancy 'Active Protection System' http://www.pc.ibm.com/ca/think/thinkvantagetech/aps.html and was disappointed to discover it appears MediaMonkey buffers very little ahead. If I have a laptop on my lap and move slightly the APS will kick in an...
