I personally chose the Synology because of the extras: webserver, FTP server, download manager, etc.

Can't help you out, but I can tell you that I've got MM working on Vista X64 without any problem. Didn't do something special to get it working as far as I know.

As far as I know you have to delete the file from the sync list in MM itself. Then it won't sync again to your Zen.
