associated files are not moved to new directory
I have the following directory containing one music file and several associated files, one of which is a directory containing another directory: $ find . ./foo.flac ./d1 ./d1/foo.txt ./foo.txt ./d2 ./d2/foo.txt ./d2/d3 ./d2/d3/foo.txt If I move foo.flac (using, say, auto-organize ) MM acts as if the...

Re: Missing items in Media Tree
Here's a search bug.
Use "Find more from same Album" and then use the search function.
If some of the album tracks are in a diffent directory, they'll be listed only by the latter, not by the former.

Re: Missing items in Media Tree
Same story here. I'm running Vista & MM 4.0.2.1462. A whole batch of albums aren't showing in the tree view (Album Artist node) but sure enough they're there if you drill down through My Computer. And they show up when sought by Artist name. But not by Location. This may be related to the diffic...

Re: iPod crashes after synching with MM4
My 80 gig ipod shows up only in the device list. And when I tell MM to sync it, MM immediately crashes.
Always worked flawlessly in MM 3.

Re: date entry - d/m/yy vs. m/d/yy
Do you mean that I should not expect 5/4/yy to be parsed 'correctly' in any event, given that my format is set to yyyy-MM-dd?
Thank you for the help.

date entry - d/m/yy vs. m/d/yy
My Windows Vista regional setting is "English (United States)" and I have customized "Short date" to yyyy-MM-dd.
When I enter 5/4/yy into a Date field, MM reads it as 5-April. I understand this to be an international format.
Is there a way to force MM to read 5/4/yy as 4-May?

Re: Virtual CD/Compilations
I agree with the last post, it's a great tool for porting around subsets of your music while maintaining the master database at home on an external drive. I have only one problem. I have ripped all my CDs to flac; this is my master database. But I have configured VirtualCD to save files in mp3 forma...

Re: predictive text entry for Title tag
Actually, my Album names never coincide, so there I find it more of a distraction. I very much doubt that, as albums usually consist of multiple tracks. (~10 tracks or so) What I meant is that I assign my Album names collectively; that is, I select the 10 or so tracks and assign the Album name at t...

Re: predictive text entry for Title tag
Thanks for the reply. When collecting live music by one's favorite performer, the same song titles do crop up repeatedly, so in my case it would be a very helpful feature indeed. Actually, my Album names never coincide, so there I find it more of a distraction. I presume there's no way to implement ...

predictive text entry for Title tag
When I manually enter the Artist or Album Artist, or the Album, MM helpfully anticipates the tag value, progressively matching the text I enter against the current values for that field, until I accept one of the current values in the dropdown box (thus saving me typing and helping ensure consistenc...

version and symptom
3.0.2.1134 Here's maybe a clue. After I auto-organize all the files from X:\ to M:\, X does not show up under the Location node; only M does, because all my files are on M (I have "delete empty folders" checked, so there's nothing left on X). This of course is correct behavior. But if I ri...

Location node has stale entries
I'm using the current version of MM. Suppose I want to move some audio files. 1. I click on the Location node and select the tracks I want to move. 2. I auto-organize the selected tracks to a folder on a different drive, thus moving the actual music files to the new drive. 3. Now, the tracks are sti...

I have Sonos and I love it
It's all about the network drives. I'm up to about 800gig (backed up of course) of rips of my own CDs (I always encode to flac level 8 - lossless is the only way to go) plus torrents I've downloaded (I don't even bother burning those to CD anymore). If I want portability I load it into my iPod (one ...

updated tag data not saved in burned cd?
Hi folks, I am stumped. 1. I download some flac files from the internet. 2. I import them into MM. I see that the tag data is already set; the tracks have titles, the bunch of them have an Album name, and so forth. 3. I see some data I want to change, and I change it. For instance, I changed the Alb...

Thanks for the reply, I use a USB drive to populate my iPod, not my server drive, so I don't think that's the problem.
