Re: Database setup
MMS doesn't directly take over MM4 or MM5 database, as it can be installed on a completely different machine (Windows or Linux based, a NAS, etc.). That said, the transition from a working MM5 installation should be rather easy: Just install MMS, then find it in MM5 and configure it to synchronize ...

Re: Please Recommend Audio Device for Ford Sync 3
What I do on my car is I bought a flash drive that I keep synced with MM. Then I just plug it into my car and listen.
Just make sure you convert everything to a supported format.

Re: MM Killing USB Drives?
2 of them locked up, I couldn't write anything or reformat them. The other one just doesn't get detected at all. I tried all of them on multiple (Linux and Windows) computers to no avail.

MM Killing USB Drives?
Let me preface by saying this might be purely coincidence, but this is the third time that I've had a flash drive permanently broken either during or immediately after syncing with MM. Has anyone had this happen to them? Or am I just very unlucky?

Re: Moving music library
Make sure the location you're moving the files to is also monitored by MM, then just move the files over. MM will automatically update the file location in your library. that approach would just make duplicates not move library. MediaMonkey monitors the folders for changed/moved files. So if the cu...

MM Web UI
I'm trying to set up MMWI, however when I launch it, it doesn't detect my network share (where all my music is stored). Looking at the site, the mmwi project is dead. Does anyone know of an alternative or a fix I could use?

Re: Rendering on Raspberry Pi using MediaMonkey library
Something like djmount would probably be better on a pi, given the low amount of resources. Might be worth looking into.

Re: MediaMonkey over OpenVPN
I managed to get it to work, though the setup is a little over complicated.
I use djmount to mount the DLNA server as a drive on my server, then I connect to the vpn and use sftp to stream the files.

Re: MediaMonkey over OpenVPN
Reading through that it doesn't look like many UPnP players work with that.Lowlander wrote:Did you read: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 20&t=75088
Are there any good music players that I can use to stream it, preferable ones that work on Linux.

MediaMonkey over OpenVPN
I use MediaMonkey to stream across my local network without issue. However I would like to stream over the internet via the VPN that I have setup. I tried it with Kodi and it could not detect a UPnP server. Does anyone know how to get this to work?
