Resistant 2.5 user looking for path to 3 or fix to 2.5

I'm currently on 2.5.5.998, and really like that version, however the Ctrl-L "find album art" function has stopped working. I've had a couple of abortive attempts at going up to v3, but found them either buggy or didn't like the layout. Latest versions appear to be stable, but I really hate the defa...

Moving album art from single folder to Album folders

I have a large number (1000+) of album art images in \documents & settings\my pictures\album art , and a lot of corresponding albums in \documents & settings\<artist>\<album> folders. The art is mostly named as <album>.jpg , but some are named <artist> - <album>.jpg What I would like to end up with ...

Re: Moving Monkey to another machine

Do you have a problem w/MM3 that makes it difficult to use? I wondered about it when I first installed it, but I found that I could bring the 'skin' I like along and that made it easy for me to switch. Several regular posters are the authors of the skins and will help you with that. Now to the data...

Moving Monkey to another machine

My current hard disk is on its last legs, so I've moved that into an old machine, and put a new RAID1 array into my main machine. I want to move all my MediaMonkey 2.5 library over. I thought this would be as simple as copying the entire contents of my MyMusic folder (including the MediaMonkey sub-f...

Re: Let's Hear Your Experiences with MM3

I'd be really intetrested to hear updated opinions from MM3 users, now that 3.0.3 is out, particularly if the crashes/freezes/refuse to shut issues have been addressed, and if there is a skin which is the equivalent of Luna Dock + Override Skin them with Windows theme - wihch gives the small player ...

Anyone got any experience of installing MM using Argo ..

... on a Ceedo-equipped external USB device? This would allegedly allow me to carry MM & my library on my USB drive, plug it into any computer & be able to run MM. That's the theory - leaving aside the small matter of not being able to get Argo to download, anyone know how you add an application (ie...

alternately, you could look at something like dbPowerAmp batch convertor, which can do the same thing, by just identifying a higher level folder

After a couple of hours of playing with MM3 on a spare machine, I think I'm going to uninstall. I have had a number of issues, some major some minor: 1) I really dislike the wide screen-filling player bar, and annoyed that there's not an alternative out of the box. Having now scanned about a dozen o...

That's disappointing (and a bit silly, to be honest) - I'll have to look at alternate skins.

Thanks

The full-width Player gadget - can it be shrunk? [MM3]

I've just installed MM3 on my laptop to give it a look before committing to upgrading my main machine. So far, so good, but I hate the full width Player gadget - is there any way to reduce this back to a narrow gadget with just the play controls on, like in MM2? As far as I can see, most of the info...

I don't have that option - was that added with MM3?

In any case, having looked at the database, it looks a fairly trivial programming job to update all the existing ones - but it would be nice to not have to keep running it

question for the Sonus + NAS guys - how is the Sonus authenticated to the NAS unit? IE, if I set the NAS up with various shares & different levels of access for different familiy members / types of file etc, how does the Sonus log onto the NAS with the appropriate user privileges? Does it require th...

I tried that before, and couldn't get it to do anything useful, but just had a brainwave. What I have to do is rename all the files, using Auto Organise first , so they're all called "Track <track#>", then use the tag from filename thing, but tell it that the files are named as <title> rather than t...
