Re: Mediamonkey 5?

Other software I've purchased would grandfather licenses for users who purchased the last version within the last year. So if a person where to purchase MM4 within a year of the release of MM5 they could either, provide a license to those users for MM5 or provide a 75% reduction. This way sales of M...

Re: Submitting a script to the extensions (Addons) library

In case others may have been confused like I was, the line "Please select a category" is referring to the list of categories to the left of the page. Clicking on one of those opens the page to allow for Addon submission. A minor change to the page may be helpful for the future. "Please select a cate...

Re: Submitting a script to the extensions (Addons) library

Wow, do I feel silly. I didn't see those sub-tabs on the page. It looks like the form is not allowing submissions. Nothing comes up when I go to the page. Only see the line "Please select a category for your addon submission." and a blank page. Tried it in IE, Firefox, and Vivaldi browsers. Is that ...

Submitting a script to the extensions (Addons) library

I have a script I modified and would like to add it to the extensions library for others to download and use. It is a rewrite of the QuickMoods addon by Mateus Molina but for genres. It's called GenrePicker. I've acknowledged the work of the original coder in the script. I think others may find it u...

Re: a simple script for genre/s management?

Hello, I was able to rewrite the script for QuickMoods and created a GenrePicker extension. It shows 24 Genres as default and allows for multiple selections, just like QuickMoods. While it works there are a couple things I was hoping to fix, with some guidance. The list of genres in the panel do not...

Re: a simple script for genre/s management?

You may find this conversation in the forum useful. https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15774&p=465814#p465814 I've been dealing with genres for a couple weeks and it's a complicated issue. As you can see from the links I provided a guy was working on this way back in 2009. Regardl...

Re: Genre Finder 5.0 - Updated 05/08/2012

If you go to Tools-Options-Library-GenreFinder Section, Update Lists and click the HELP button it provides the answer. According to the screen that pops up in a White list you use 'Value=Translation' If this is accurate then you would simply write as part of the white list 'Synthpop=Synth-Pop', 'Syn...

Re: Genre Finder 5.0 - Updated 05/08/2012

I found the answer to the white/black list issue below. Go to Tools-Options. Under Library there is a GenreFinder Settings section. Under the Update List sub-section click the HELP button in the upper right next to Save and Load. This provides detailed instructions. -Sterling The question I have is ...

Re: Genre Finder 5.0 - Updated 05/08/2012

The question I have is where? Where do you edit the script to include the whitelist/blacklist? I did not see any comment section that says "Edit this line for whitelist." Also I read page "12" of this thread and it would be helpful if there was an actual line of code example showing how the whitelis...

Re: BPM not being interpreted correctly (Magic Nodes)

Thanks for the information. I've never written a script for MM (as I didn't originally write this one, and really just added the sub block to make it work) so I appreciate the insights into MM coding.

I'll edit my post accordingly with your notes about this particular function.

Be well,

Re: BPM not being interpreted correctly (Magic Nodes)

Saw this thread and wanted to relay what worked for me. I used tuneXplorer from AbyssMedia and had it update the mp3 files of my collection: 7300+ files. Took an hour. This added BPM and "Initial Key" to the MP3 using tag v2. This is native for mp3's but is not currently in MediaMonkey so it also sa...
