Well, if you have the CD, what exactly is your problem here? Just TYPE the few lines of information yourself, for chrissakes! :D I'm not trying to be a smartass or belittle your problem but gee, I wish I had no bigger problem that this with my music... just try finding the original year, lyrics and ...

I have downloaded and tried the new version and it works great. Actually to be quite honest, I couldn really see much of a difference with 1.9. What is that new OptionSheet about? Isn't that what was already included in earlier versions? Anyway, like I said it works fine, with one small glitch: One ...

The deafening sound of crickets...

Hmmm... I'm overwhelmed by the wildly enthusiastic response. :o

So, is nobody else motivated to continue development of this awesome report script?

www.leoslyrics.com is by far my favorite. The lyrics there are usually formatted more nicely, and they make it easy to upload your own. I also use: http://lyricsplayground.com/ http://www.music-sites.net/mediasearch/lyrics.html (metasearch engine) I get very good results with databases that are dedi...

Yes DFX will work nicely with MM. If I recall correctly, you just have to create an empty file in your MM directory and name it winamp.exe to trick the installer into thinking it's dealing with winamp. One downside of DFX (other than the cost, obviously) is that it opens a separate window regardless...

Cool!

Thanks for the replies guys, and for listing other possibilities! Will have to look into them as well. What I like about my system is that once it's setup properly, backing up takes exactly ONE double-click on a desktop icon, plus two keypresses (one to start the program, one to close it). But yeah,...

I am very interested in the future of this script but am seriously lacking in skills to continue tweaking it on my own. I did manage to fix a little bug that has been bothering me (see bottom of this post) but am ashamed to say that after spending literally hours poring over the code, I couldn't fig...

My method to easily backup music

Hey guys, thought I would share my system to easily and incrementally backup my music files. Note: this is NOT to backup Mediamonkey database files! (use trixmoto's Backup script for that.) Background: In the past, backing up my music files was always a pain. The problem is that filenames and locati...

Just to add my 2c, I was also very excited when the alpha came out, thinking we'll *soon* have the new MM3. No, I didn't download any but have been following the forum with interest. Now that it appears that the developers are taking feedback and bug reports VERY seriously, I resigned myself to the ...

But, the big questions is: Is there any source available that have each song tagged individually? If you do find a way to do it automatically, please do let me know! Actually what I am doing most of the time is look up the artist/album up on allmusic and then assign the song genre based on the choi...

Damn! That's what you call 'easy as pie'? I'd prefer my method, since it don't rely on script nor auto-organize function. LOL well... I think it's less risky, and once you get the hang of it it's no more than a few mouseclicks... OK, maybe I should have called it 'an ALTERNATE' way to do this...' :...

MM has been installed less than 30 days, but for some reason it won't allow me to do the conversion there (citing the trial period for mp3). So do I have to get the Gold version to get this to work? You do not need to get a Gold license to work around this problem. It is only the included MP3 encod...

sffww98 : I believe there is now a much easier way to do this, using Maaspuck's excellent CopyTags script (version 1.8, with the modification proposed by Steegy , works great) Once you have installed that script, replacing an album with a newly ripped one becomes easy as pie. Basically, it consists...

'Guest', this is something I have given a lot of thought as well. I am absolutely NOT convinced that parent/child genre is the way to go. In my opinion, a more sensible division would be between 'artist genre' and 'song genre'. Your Rap artist may suddenly decide to record a a clear Hard Rock song o...
