Orchestra/Band Tag

Am I missing something, or MM doesn't use the IDV3v2 tag for Orchestra/Band?
I mean, it is just not there, or it's called with another name?

Re: Advice on a D to A converter

What I would appreciate advice on, is the “compatibility” of the D/A with MM, as well as sound quality. I need to play MP3 (all standard bit rates and VBR), AAC, OGG, WMA, FLAC, WAV, and CDA. I'm having trouble finding info on what the data from MM looks like (via USB), so I’m not sure how to spec ...

Re: Customizing the Summary Column

+1 I had a very slow learning curve with the new summary,( at the beginning i even complained because it changed my default sorting ;)) but after undertanding how it works, I think MM summary is a powerful toll deserving some improvement to be even better. I' d love to mark the text as italic , bold...

Yes, I confirm, same problem here.

P.S.: my settings for Classical Music:

$if(<Composer>, <Composer>) - <Album>
$if(<Conductor>, <Conductor>)$If(<Artist>, - <Artist>,)$If(<Publisher>, - <Publisher>,)$If(<Year>, - <Year>)

Re: Please fix bit-perfect gapless playback

I See... Well, the Profire 610 manual speaks about ASIO/WDM configuration, and Wasapi connects to WDM... It's definitely supposed to work. Sorry for insisting, but otherwise I fear you're screwed :( as you probably know, the ASIO driver author wrote in the docs that he was forced to insert a short d...

Re: Please fix bit-perfect gapless playback

Ah! That's interesting, may I ask you what setting are you using with JRiver? Just to be sure I tried again with JRiver and with tracks with different sample rate I have a short dropout during transition... (But I couldn't use ASIO4ALL, as my card has its dedicated ASIO driver.) By the way, as you u...

Re: Please fix bit-perfect gapless playback

Well, during the beta testing of MM4 I have pested the developers about the output driver, but after the bug sorting I have not these problems and for me the Wasapi driver works very well (yes, I spent too a lot of money in hi-end audio, I use MM as primary digital source and I tested it with many D...

Re: iMonkey Skin v.1,0,0,1 [MM4] (05.01.2012)

Hello,

I really like your skin, but I cannot use it because I need the stop button (*), any chance to have it?

(*) Using the Wasapi output driver exclusive mode, MM holds the audio device even when you click on pause; to release the device you must click on stop.

Re: Portable installed on NAS to slow

Using a shared DB on a NAS is (was?) my goal; I tried about one year ago with MM3, but it was too slow, I had also some random DB errors, so I gave up. (But I haven't tried with the DB on another PC.) Lowlander, can you be more specific about possible NAS bottle necks? Is there any reason because it...

Re: "Similar" albums grouped as one

Lowlander: yes, I do sort by Summary and I also tryed to put the date at the beginnig of the second line of the Summary, hoping to get different executions NOT grouped, but it doen't work... Can you confirm the grouping rule is hardcoded? Should I fill a request in the wish list for a configurable g...

Re: "Similar" albums grouped as one

Short reply: put something different in the album artist field; i.e.: "Beatles Mono" "Beatles Stereo" Long reply: The problem is: AFAIK, sorting by Summary albums are grouped for <album>/<artist album>; other fields like date or conductor are not taken in account. It is possible to configure the rul...

Delayed start

I post in OT as my problem is almost ridicolous. :) I have a system composed by an headlesss PC running MM4 in automatic startup and the music library stored on a NAS. Yesterday I changed the system disk wth a fast SSD drive, as a result, 50% of times MM has all the entries are greyes out... If I ki...

Some USB DAC do not work well with Wasapi in Event mode; you may try to disable Event mode in Wasapi advanced settings.

Re: .dff (SACD) compatibily

Any resources we can look at? I don't know what kind of resources you need, anyway converting DSD to PCM is not at all a trivial task, even worst if you want to convert on-the-fly; so to speak, AFAIK there are only 2 PC programs available for off-line convertion (see my previous msg), Saracon is be...
