Re: Last.fm Scrobbler help

I just encountered a bizarre problem with the native scrobbling service. I use a laptop and 99% of the time I listen to music at work only, so scrobbling is done there. However, this weekend I took the laptop home and connected it to our home network, and now MM won't scrobble! Obviously, the settin...

Re: Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix 3.5.2 (2009-07-10)

Ah, that is probably it. The old machine ran an English version of XP, and the new is Korean XP. Unfortunately, that means I can't make the changes you mentioned in your post. If I open the script in any editor on that machine, it comes out all garbled. Also, I don't know enough Korean (I am Norwegi...

Re: Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix 3.5.2 (2009-07-10)

Hi, I have used this script for years, it's one of my must-haves. However, I just installed MM fresh on a new computer and moved my old database and music over to it, and now the script won't work. When reinstalling it, I get the error message: There was a problem querying the database: Error execut...

Re: Adv. Duplicate Find & Fix 3.2.2 (2008-07-03) [MM2&3]

I have now done all the tests on your list, and they all produce the same error. It varies when MM hangs, but the end result is the same. For example, there is a difference if I delete the file without confirmation or with. For without confirmation the tags are seemingly copied and everything is OK ...

Re: Adv. Duplicate Find & Fix 3.2.2 (2008-07-03) [MM2&3]

OK, I'll try some tests. I can also plug the external drive into a regular (non-VM) XP machine and test there.

Re: Adv. Duplicate Find & Fix 3.2.2 (2008-07-03) [MM2&3]

You should copy metadata from the track you want to delete to the one you want to keep . Of course I should...! That's what I realized, too... Oh well, only one track lost that way. And to Nyn, yes, I have set the Options. I tried with two option profiles saved for List to List. Both keep mo...

Re: Adv. Duplicate Find & Fix 3.2.2 (2008-07-03) [MM2&3]

UPDATE:
I realize now that, although the database entries for the two dupes are intact, one of them is now a dead link (i.e. the file has been deleted).

So it's good for deleting dupes, but not for transferring metadata!

Hangs on Paste Metadata

Hello, A longtime user of the script on MM2, I had held off on the new version until 3.0.3.1183 was stable - and today I finally upgraded MM and installed the most recent version of your script again. Lots of dupes accumulating in the mean time... Unfortunately, it does not work for me now! Here is ...

LogMeIn also has a free product called LogMeIn Hamachi. This lets you create a secure LAN over the internet, so if you have that installed both on the host and the client, they can communicate as if they were on a regular LAN. This, in turn, enables you to use the regular old Remote Desktop function...

The problem is that MediaMonkey identifies location by a unique hard drive ID. So, regardless of what letter your drive is identified as by Windows (D, E, G, whatever) MediaMonkey will be looking for that hard drive ID: LaptopDB -> ExtHD HomeDB -> HomeHD I would also have liked some solution to keep...

@Peke: I don't quite understand your comment. One of the options is ScrobblerDJ. Obviously that means ScrobblerDJ AutoDJ (what else does ScrobblerDJ do but be an AutoDJ? Am I missing something?). @DazB: Implied in the question is that you are using an AutoDJ. If you are not, your vote is not really ...

Combining two Last.fm AutoDJs

Sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere, but I have discovered that, although both scripts say to disable other auto-DJs they actually complement each other well because one is a bit slower in quering Last.fm than the other. So, if you have both ScrobblerDJ and the AutoDJ function of Last.f...

Argh. I guess I don't read so well under stress. I found out that the database is indeed at C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey while I had been looking for it at C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data My apologies, Trixmoto! And a question: is ...

The default locations are... Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERX\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey Windows Vista: C:\Users\USERX\AppData\Local\Mediamonkey You can change this though by editing the ini file, as per this FAQ... http://www.mediamonkey.com/faq/index.php?action=artikel...

Upgrading to MM3 hosed my installs?!

OK, so I thought I'd take the plunge and upgrade to MM3 since I had to install it on a new computer anyway. Up until this point I had MM installed on two separate computers (home/office) but all the music and the database on an external USB hard drive. I had moved the My Music folder to the external...
