Re: Random noise inserted into MP3s

i'm guessing the mulitple core's are doing it. Interesting. Especially since I've been using MM for almost 2 years now with no problems. Granted with 13,000 songs, it's impossible to listen to them all in a timely manner so who knows when this started. I will say that some of these songs are on a r...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/qjk3geoub2dvb5u/10%20-%20Skinny%20Puppy%20-%20Yes%20He%20Ran.mp3 3:30 again. And TWO songs this time. I can easily identify one these two thanks to some lyrics... First is from De La Soul, Ego trippin (Part 2) minute 2:47 Second is from MAYBE Issac Green and the Skalars. St...

Re: Random noise inserted into MP3s

4.1.0.1672 These tracks in particular have always been fine. It seems to have surfaced for me around build 1670. 3:30 as well for this track https://www.dropbox.com/s/auyl8a326gzifca/02%20-%20Alkaline%20Trio%20-%20While%20You%27re%20Waiting.mp3 which I find peculiar, as it's the same time on the tra...

Random noise inserted into MP3s

I am not too sure when this started, but over the past few weeks I've encountered some weirdness with some of the songs in my collection. While I am still gathering information right now, I wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone else has experiences this. I have one track isolated now, and...

Re: Access Violation -- over and over and over

I have no complaints about MM, and since I've been using beta now for some time, I accept quirks and errors, but up until 4.1.0.1672, I've never gotten any errors really.

For some reason with 1672, I am periodically getting the same errors.

Re: adding a new "type"

I too would like to see non-music and/or spoken word added as a type. Why? The "Type" field itself is really not useful for how you browse the library. What is useful for browsing are "Collections". You can create your own collections based on any criteria, including custom fields and genre. So for...

Re: adding a new "type"

While Christmas music is in the end... music, spoken word and whatnot is most certainly not music. Even Discogs has items listed as "non-music."

I too would like to see non-music and/or spoken word added as a type.

Re: NEW! AutoRateAccurate 3.0 (22/09/2013) - for MM4

I'd still really like to edit this ini file for how skip time is calculated. AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini as an AutoRateAcc area. I tried changing the 10000000 thinking that was milliseconds, but that didn't seem to do what I wanted after I restarted MM. I cannot seem to find another ...

Crossfade-able Playlist

It would be nice to selectively enable crossfade on certain playlists.

Rock music is not all that crossfade compatible in my opinion. However, certain techno orientated playlists would benefit from this greatly.

Re: NEW! AutoRateAccurate 3.0 (22/09/2013) - for MM4

How do I stop a song from getting auto-rated when it's skipped? http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24126 "By the way although a skip is only counted if at least ten seconds and at most 80% of the song have been played. This values can be changed in the ini-file. I think there's no ...

Re: MM and cloud storage

Hehe... the "cloud," nothing like a catchy name to rebrand a technology that has been around since the mid 90's. WebDAV anyone? That's kind of cloud 101 from the consumers point of view. If I can have a webDAV folder residing on my PC(s), there should be a way for MM to recognize this "drive." But s...

Re: SUB GENRES

Crazy how one thinks they have a brilliant idea, only to discover it's been thought about over and over for 4+ years. While the Magic Node is neat and all, I still think it'd be useful to have the genre and sub-genre(s) written to tags. Not only written to tags, but maybe also recorded as a usable t...
