It's OS related issue. Perhaps app was uninstalled badly. Yes, some media players(like PowerAmp) take control although aren't in foreground. They are listening connection event and register their listeners on this event. it looks like some special behavior of your device in lower layer, but I have made simple solution to new release 1.0.5 (coming soon). Hope this helps.
