Re: Remote app?
Interesting? I can't speak for others but I have 1800 Artists, 6000+ albums and 100,000+ tracks and MOnkeytunes works like lightning for me. I test everything against iTunes and Monkeytunes and in my setup there is virtually no difference other than MonkeyTunes does not support iTunes DJ mode (since...

Re: cache of album covers
MonkeyTunes caches the art on the server for serving up to the iPad and the Apple REmote one the iPad does some caching itself but since that is owned and developed by Apple no one knows exactly how it is caching. All I know is when the Apple Remote requests cover art for an album MonkeyTunes serves...

Re: MonkeyTunes - DACP Server pour iPhone / Android
Concerning the display of the file type (mp3 or wav), is it possible to make a suggestion to developers DACP ? If so, where can I do please ? DACP is created by Apple for iTunes only. We have simply "stolen" their protocol. I don't think Apple will change anything about it considering we ...

Re: Remote app?
Sho'nuff. But they let you browse by some tags and not by others. For example, the apple remote seems to let you browse only by artist, album or genre, if I read the description correctly. I'm looking for something that will give me much more flexibility and will let me configure by which tags I wa...

Re: Still can't connect my android device with monkeytunes
Since I've still can not connect my android device (Motorola Defy with Cyanogen Mod 7 beta and ADW launcher) via tunesremote+ it would be great if MediaMonkey team could start working on their own remote. (like winamp did). It woudl be really great couse I love media Monkey. My guess is if your Tun...

Re: Doing SendTo Folder in C#
I don't think so. I don't know exactly what you mean but if you mean convert from MP3 to FLAC say then the answer is no.gideonrv wrote:Is there a way to Move/Copy/Convert a track using C#?

Re: MM Android Player
So while I'm sure Julian is a great guy and a good programmer and so on,m it's no disrespect to him to point out that an app written by the original developers will be faster to arrive and more compatible. I mean, hey - MM can do whatever it wants. I'm just a customer suggesting a feature that I'd ...

Re: Adding reference to MediaMonkey in VS.NET
I think you need to look for SongsDB or Interop.SongsDB as that is what the COM object comes out as after you reference it in VS.NET

Re: Events don't work with C#
@melloware, I don't think you're using the term "out-of-proc" correctly. The app code may reside somewhere random, but once MM instantiates the object, it's in-proc—that is, the code is running within the MediaMonkey process. You are correct it is in-process inside the MediaMonkey process...

Re: Events don't work with C#
@melloware: I see that I was sent slightly down the wrong path by your post here , where you talked about registering an out-of-proc app (and referred to the MonkeyToys thread). But now I see, it's not really out-of-proc. Sorry about that. Basically is a COM object registered out of proc by MM. Not...

Re: Events don't work with C#
Is there a bug filed about the faulty COM implementation? I don't know if there is or not but you can reference this thread if you are going to file a bug. http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=45676 Or this one... http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=45923

Re: Events don't work with C#
You are correct the COM implementation for Events in MM is faulty. If you read these forums you will see people have had this problem for years. You can manipulate the SongsDB object through Python out-of-process but the only thing you can do is register for events like OnPlay etc. It is the same pr...

Re: MonkeyTunes installation
(On administration: Should this post be under another topic?) It should be in the MonkeyTunes topic or better yet as Melloware offers it's own forum in their forum for quicker response from the developer of the addon. Agreed. You can ask on our forums over at Melloware but most likely you never ins...

Re: Events don't work with C#
You are 100% correct in all of the above. I based my MonkeyTunes plugin on the same architecture (in C# instead of VB) and it works great. It is a lot of trouble to go through but it is the only way to get in-process calls in your plugin. Since the script instantiates your C# app as a COM object the...
