A combination of custome fields, multi value fields (coming in MediaMonkey 3.0) and a better advanced search (coming in MediaMonkey 3.0) might be able to achieve the same thing. As for playlists, MediaMonkey has auto-playlists which is based on conditions and as such is dynamic. Improvements in the ...

Grey files can happen when they require a different plugin or a are no longer in the location MediaMonkey has stored in the database.

When songs are no longer available you can use the Files to Edit > Dead Links node and delete all songs listed here.

Not within MediaMonkey, but I believe that there is a script that can extract album art from the tags and save them to a folder. You will need to search the Script and Component forum as I don't remember how it's called.

Make sure you get the latest (2.5.5) version of MediaMonkey. Also please tell us your environment. Do you have files located on the network? If so make sure you use the UNC path to the network instead of a mapped drive. As for locating/deleting duplicates there are are 2 duplicate nodes in the Files...

Do not delete the standard list of genre's. You can delete any unused genre's with an ID of above 10000 by opening My Music/MediaMonkey/MediaMonkey.mdb with MS Access, but don't delete/modify the standard genre's. These genre's are the genre's from ID3v1 (which doesn't support custom genre's) and ca...

You might want to make a backup of your data on the drive just in case a hardware failure is causing this.

I can only go by what you write: or you are just using task scheulder with pekes script to start media monkey like i am doing.. I still assume it's some script conflict, not necessarily caused by a script by itself. And no I don't know which one could be the cause. But I won't bother you again, sorry.

I'm not sure what you mean?

Sometimes files become greyed out if they are no longer available. These files can be deleted from the Files to Edit > Dead Links node (you can savely delete all files listed here).
