Re: CaseChecker ignoring "littleWordString"

You're right; that's actually an error. In JS, backslash is an escape character; so if you just write "\s", it'll be interpreted as just "s". So the regex on line 46 is interpreted as: "^[s,&]+$" There's also another improperly escaped character for the cardinal regex. To be fixed as: https://www.ve...

Re: MM5 API with WebSockets in NodeJS

Ah, I see! So, if you use JS within the MM interface to read the image, you can probably send it as a blob, since websockets support that format: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/WebSocket/send There are different ways of getting a blob from an image, but I found a good method on Sta...

Re: Menus not fully visible

This was a known issue with scaled displays, but it should have been fixed a while ago. Do you have multiple monitors? If so, could you share a screenshot of your monitor configuration?

Also, what build of MM do you have installed? (Go to Help > About; it'll say at the top.)

Re: MM5 API with WebSockets in NodeJS

What protocol does your Android app use to connect to your web services? (is it HTTP/REST? Websocket? Something else?) Does it connect directly to your Node.JS server or does it connect directly to your VB.Net program? If your Node app uses Express, and it's just an HTTP server, you might be able to...

Re: MM5 API with WebSockets in NodeJS

Yep - The MediaMonkey application takes those file:///temp/(etc) requests and serves them from your system temp folder. For other applications to load the files, you'll probably have to replace file:///temp with "file:///"+os.tmpdir() https://nodejs.org/api/os.html#os_os_tmpdir (I'm not at my comput...

Re: MM5 API with WebSockets in NodeJS

Update...I've gotten the MediaMonkeyNet app built and it's running. I used Wireshark to capture the request and pasted it into my NodeJS app and i got the expected response. So good from that standpoint...now i think i'm dealing with the specifics of the "app.db.getQueryResultAsync(sql)" request. H...

Re: Adding reference to Visual Studio project

I can reproduce the issue on Visual Studio 2017; tracked as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17897. Sorry about the trouble. Is your project for a separate application that runs alongside MM, or for an addon that will run within MM? If it's the latter, it may be worth trying out using ...

Re: Adding reference to Visual Studio project

Hi, sorry for the late response. I'm not the most experienced with Visual Studio, but I'll do some tests and see if I can come up with something.

Re: Randomise Playlist

When you say randomize playlist, do you mean playing it in shuffle mode? Or to actually rearrange the order of tracks on the playlist?

Re: Adding reference to Visual Studio project

Sorry, that snipped that you quoted was copied from the original MM4 scripting wiki page by me. (https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/Introduction_to_scripting) If you have an external application that uses the COM model to communicate with MM, it should behave the same as with MM4 except that it uses t...

Re: What does "Analyse waveform" do?

The reason it's there is so that you can quickly preview a tracks' waveforms without waiting a second or two after each one. Without doing Analyze Waveform manually, a track's waveform will be analyzed and calculated once the track is being played. https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=1672...

Thanks. Since we're on the topic, and since I'm building it from the ground up, do either of you (or anyone else viewing the thread) have any requests for its behavior and features? The current plan is to implement it as a view within the MM5 interface (currently there is a Browser vi...

Re: Plex API Sync

With the Plex addon you don't depend on monthly Spotify costs and have your music perfectly sorted thanks to mediamonkey. I would love to do everything from mediamonkey and mediamonkey for android, but I think currently Plexamp is more enjoyable to use, besides the smart recommendations. I'm not su...
