Re: Media Tree - Sort by Date Modified

In Playlists there is an automatically generated playlist called 'Recently Added'. That seems to list the most recently added items first. Could that be a way of getting at what you want?

Re: Playback Control Latency With External Player

I don't know if that is what I was experiencing or not. The volume slider for me was starting at the 30-40% range, so it seems to be a little different. Maybe it is what I had going on too, and I just don't understand it. But what you all have zeroed in on should be good for all of us.

Re: 4.1 Stability Checkpoint

If my external player is not available on the network it does not show in the menu. There may be something to setup on the receiver end. Also on my router I had to turn off port forwarding for it to show up. That may not be case for you though, I don't know.

Safeguard with Auto-Tag

I have seen a lot of new users shoot themselves in the foot like this. Would it be possible to have the monkey prompt with a warning if more than one album is selected when auto-tagging from the web? When you know how to use the feature, it is great. But when a beginner sees "Auto-Tag" there is the ...

If you right click near the playback controls, maybe on top of the timeline, you will get a menu with 'Select Player' at the top. I had a really difficult time finding it at first also, so you are not alone.

Re: Playback Control Latency With External Player

I tested the volume control with build 1615 in the MetroMonkey skin and it worked well. There was latency (I think that is probably expected), but it gave smooth control. I don't know what my second experience with the volume going full in the previous build was about. I was very deliberate and had ...

Re: Playback Control Latency With External Player

Were you using the volume control within the main window or from the control you directed me to in the tray? The tray control has worked for me in both 1614 and 1615. I have not tried the volume control in the main window with 1615, and I am not inclined to. Given the experience I had, I avoid that ...

Re: Playback Control Latency With External Player

Thank you Lowlander. Indeed, using the control through the tray icon appears to work as it should.

Now I will go see if I can get the cat off of the ceiling.

Re: Playback Control Latency With External Player

I don't see any volume control when I right click on the MediaMonkey tray icon. I just did a test with the MetroMonkey skin. Tried it playing to the internal player first. Nice smooth control. Then tried to the stereo. Carefully position cursor over volume control, gently scrolled down one click, an...

I just used the search field at the top right of the page and had numerous results for 'distortion'.
From where on the page are you doing your search?

Playback Control Latency With External Player

Some of the controls are immediately responsive for me (pause, replay after pause, and stop) and others (initial play, volume) have latency. I think this makes sense in that the immediately responsive controls are probably only involving the machine that MMW is running on, and the controls showing l...

Re: 4.1.0.1609: Selecting external player not working

Yes, maybe a variation of that. I don't see the detail that it will repeat a variable number of times and then move on. If trying anything specific here and capturing a log would be useful I will do that.
