Re: New computer, MM3, can't drag & drop anymore?

Turns out it was a global Windows problem that was, ahem, fixed by pressing my ESC key a couple of times. Doh!

Thanks for playing. :)

Re: New computer, MM3, can't drag & drop anymore?

Thanks for the prompt reply, Lowlander. Alas, a restart has not corrected this problem.

Anyone have any clues? Are there more details about my environment that would help in troubleshooting?

New computer, MM3, can't drag & drop anymore?

Greetings everyone, hope the MM community is well...it's been a while. This is a repost; I posted this an hour ago but haven't seen it appear yet so I'm hoping this won't be a repeat. Last weekend I acquired a new computer and have been working hard on getting all programs and settings put back. Wit...

Re: Lost playlists, maybe recoverable?

Thanks man, I ended up deciding to just forge on through and re-classify all the tracks I acquired in the last year. Tedious, but done in a half day.

Lost playlists, maybe recoverable?

Greetings MM users...it's been a while since I was active here, mostly because MM rocks and has given me no trouble for so long. I've come up against a sticky problem now, though, and humbly ask for guidance on how to repair this. I recently performed a clean install of Win7 and dutifully backed up ...

Re: Motorola Droid folder hierarchy after sync

I'm watching this thread with great interest as I have a Droid and have held off on using MM for sync until I know for sure it will work. I noticed that the default directory in MM for sync is \Music\, but as I understand it, the Linux-like file system of the Droid means it likes lowercase letters i...

Upgrading bitrate of tracks & maintaining tag/playlist info?

Hi, I know this has been discussed here before but after doing some keyword searches I can't seem to locate the topic. I hope someone can point me in the right direction or, better yet, provide me with an answer to this. If I have tracks that I really like in my collection, and the bitrate is less t...

Re: Restoring MM data after reinstall, playlist data missing

Thanks, the script did it, after turning off File Monitor. Now my database has been restored, including all my playlists and the "Date Added" data. One last question now - since I'd like to turn File Monitor back on again for the folders that contain my music, is there any danger in doing so now tha...

Re: Restoring MM data after reinstall, playlist data missing

This makes sense as I copied over the .ini file which did, indeed, have the File Monitor configured. So in order to properly import the database, I should simply turn OFF File Monitor BEFORE I copy the DB file to the proper directory, and not turn it back on until I've successfully opened it? I'll g...

Re: Restoring MM data after reinstall, playlist data missing

I've also discovered that the "Date Added" field has been reset to today's date - any way to recover that from the original database?

Restoring MM data after reinstall, playlist data missing

Hi all, I recently needed to reformat & reinstall Windows XP so I made an image of my entire hard drive and did the reinstall. After I installed MM 3.0.7, I followed the guidelines about restoring my database and located the files MM.DB, MediaMonkey.ini and mediamonkey.m3u from the image backup and ...

MM freezes when USB drive is inserted

I'm using MM 3.07 and every time I insert a USB drive, whether it's a thumb drive or a 3.5" external drive, MM freezes. The drive cannot be accessed either. If I unplug the drive, MM returns to normal operation. It was happening in 3.02 as well, and on two different computers. My database lives on t...

I haven't seen any issues where the location node wouldn't show all tracks that are in that folder and in the library. Are you sure that the files are all stored in the same folder? Yes, I've confirmed that they all reside in the same folder. As for the Unsynchronized node, many have reported issue...
