some thoughts

Genre There has been much discussion on the forums about genre's. Some like to have the option to include multiple genre's. A more extensive version of this has been suggested too, whereby each assigned genre would have a weighting number assigned. Music on the edge that I have often could belong t...

A random that wouldn't repeat is great. I haven't played enough with it to see how MM fares in this area.

When you talk about songlist, do you mean the Now Playing window (or node) or the tracklistings?

Yep, I'm young, but I know about bill saying the magic memory words. I don't know what is run on your machine, but 4mb isn't that much. As for a faster search and even faster loading of the tracklistings this has been requested by more people. I myself am fine with the way it works now. As for using...

Yep, a version 2 license is just for versions 2 of this program. Version 3 should take quit a while before that will ever be released.

Not in MM

Nop, MM is not for downloading music. It is a music management program like MusicMatch, WinAmp or WMP.
For downloading music you'll need to get a different program like iTunes from Apple, Napster, ect. BTW these are legal download services

Yep

True,

It would be nice to have the option to add a directory and not it's subdirectory, or not all of it's subdirectory.

A to MM unknown character is a logical explanation of the square. But what puzzels me is that the same square doesn't show up in the properties window.
So the question I have is if the square is completely gone in the properties window or that something else shows in its place?

Good luck

I believe the file monitor will possibly get you in trouble as it should notice the file has different ratings than the DB. I'm not sure as the files might not have changed at all.
Just be aware that ratings could be changed in the second DB to reflect the ratings in the tag.

Good luck

Thanks

That's cool, we all post something that has been requested before, such is life on the forums. As for the wishlist it isn't completed yet, but it's quit a bit of work as I have to go through every wishlist forum topic and read everything to distill the wishes out of it. I haven't finished going thro...

Has been requested

This has been requested before and a solution has been put in place as well in the mean time. If you go with your mouse over the album/title or whatever is to long and a tooltip text will popup showing the full name. The explorer tree is on the wishlist to be reconstructed and many requests have bee...

Well if you like songs loud this feature is essential. As it levels the songs you can turn the speakers/stereo up and be less worried about blowing stuff up. Of course your speakers/stereo need to be of decent quality te be able to compensate for the softer playing MM, so everything is still brain b...

The track details will try to look for the CD that the track belongs to in the Amazon DB. This will be displayed in a new window. In the dropdown list you can see the different albums Amazon found (if more than one is available). You'll need to manually update the info in the track with the informat...

Some cautions

Just a warning on two installations: It could happen that after installing both still use the same DB (another user encountered this). So check this before playing with the songs (If on first run after installation before scanning for songs DB is populated with songs you are using the same DB). You'...

It works ....

Yep, it certainly does. But you need to be very careful when copying the visualization from WinAmp to MM. Make sure all the files belonging to the Vis have been selected and not more than that. Some Vis will work, some won't. Some Vis will have all features working, some won't. Some Vis will crash t...

Thanks

Nop, I rip everything through MM. And I don't have the files opened or viewed anywhere else, I don't even have to have the folder of the files open in MM to get the error message. I suspect that network latency could be a cause of these problems. That's why I adviced before that the program makers l...
