Re: MMA creates new Device Profiles

I didn't delete the MediaMonkey folders on the device. Do both MMW and MMA create this file? Could one have overwritten the other's?

My sync is way out of sync right now, so I think I'm going to clear out and start fresh.

Re: "Connecting..." forever!

I'm having this same problem of it staying on the "Connecting..." screen during WiFi sync. I'm on MMW 1624 and MMA 1.03.0104.

I'll try it again on 1625 when I get some time.

Two MediaMonkey folders

I just noticed that I have two MediaMonkey folders on my device. One is in the internal storage and one is on the external card. They both contain a storageInfo.xml file, but the storageGuid field is different between the two.

Is that to be expected?

Re: MMA creates new Device Profiles

On the Options screen in MMA, there's a section labeled "Sync Location/Settings". In that section, I have two entries, MB855 Internal Storage and MB855 External SD card. If I tap the MB855 External SD card option, the next screen has a check box labeled "Sync to this location". W...

Re: Req: Last.fm scrobbling [#10167]

If you're taking votes on this, I'd like to see scrobbling through Scrobble Droid. We'd need the option to disable it when playing via UPnP though, because MMW already scrobbles those plays.

Re: MMA Wireless and USB Sync

I'm having a hard time with switching back and forth between WiFi and USB syncs. It seems to come down to my device showing up differently depending on how I sync. FWIW, I'm using MMA on a Gingerbread Android device with an external SD card and syncing to MMW 4.1, and I'm trying to sync the music to...

Re: MMA creates new Device Profiles

I just had MMA create a new profile again. When I enable the Sync to External option in MMA, it adds a profile to MMW. If I go to MMW and disable (but don't delete) that profile, then go back to MMA, Sync to External is disabled. If I re-enable Sync to External in MMA, rather than re-enabling that p...

Re: Can the same device be synced by both WiFi and USB?

This is back to not working. Windows sees the internal and external cards in my device as a single device, and MMW is making a profile accordingly. MMA wants to set up separate profiles for the internal and external cards. It seems we have threads for this going both here and in the MMA forum. I'm n...

Re: MMA creates new Device Profiles

I saw similar behavior today. I connected via USB first. Set that profile up and did a sync. Then my first WiFi sync created a new profile, and it didn't seem to be aware of what had already been synced. After the WiFi sync, the library showed two copies of every file. However, each file only seems ...

Re: Can the same device be synced by both WiFi and USB?

Thanks for your help. I think I spotted the problem. I had changed the name on the profile in MMW. Some time later I installed a new build. It looks like some time after that, a new device profile got added under the default name. That might have happened the first time I did a WiFi sync after I ins...

Re: Can the same device be synced by both WiFi and USB?

Should it be the same device profile, or should each method have it's own profile?

Can the same device be synced by both WiFi and USB?

For an Android device running the MMA beta, should I be able to alternately sync that same device via both USB and WiFi, or do I need to pick one and stick with it for all syncs? It seems like when I know there are going to be a lot of files to sync over, I'd rather do that via USB for the speed. Bu...

Re: Sync back ratings & play counts (MSC) v1.1 2011-11-27

I'm finding that I get ratings synced back for mp3 files but not for m4a/aac files. It seems to be on the PlayerPro end. I have it set to write the ratings to the files, but it only seems to do that on mp3 files. Do we know if that's a PlayerPro limitation? Or an Android limitation? Or a tag system ...
