A difference, any difference, should be flagged. If Auto-Tag is going to modify my files I should be made aware of this before it does so. So a different apostrophe, or removing leading zeroes should be shown as changes.

The current version is MediaMonkey 5. Version 1.2 is really old and no longer supported.

The point of the Portable Install is that it doesn't use the Registry so I doubt that this will be implemented.

No, as mentioned, that's not possible, but the Playing node displays the same list and thus can be viewed in the main panel. The Playing panel though is limited to the side bars.

You can use the Playing node to display the Playing in the middle, the Playing window can't be moved to the middle.

Did you make sure MediaMonkey isn't muted (the common cause)? Otherwise make sure the correct Audio Device is selected in the Output Plug-in Configurations (Tools > Options > Output Plug-ins).
