Re: Library File Compares?
First thing I noticed with MP3Tag--not that it was a big surprise--is that it found 6,790 songs..... Second problem. The MP3Tag file is 794KB while the MM one is 806KB, 12KB different, or, if my math is right, 12,288 characters different. Oh boy.... I'll need to do some work on the output files. Bey...

Re: Library File Compares?
I've never used MP3Tag since I don't use MP3's.
I'll grab it and give the approach a shot.
Can you provide a link to Beyond Compare? I'm getting all sorts of erroneous hits.

Re: Library File Compares?
Drat. If only MM would be so kind as to actually tell us why these files are being skipped. You'd think that would be important info. So I tried the export thing. Total mess so far. Each app sorts a bit differently and it's not easy to change. Some put groups like, "The 5th Dimension" under 5 (at th...

Re: Library File Compares?
What two playlists though? The other apps don't show playlists. They just tell me how many FLAC files there are. What would be another simple product to produce a playlist to export from the songs there?

Re: Library File Compares?
A bit more info: Audio Tester is a small app I used to do some file checks and it was one of the apps that also sees 6,790 files. However, the interesting part is that it also checks various file types, including FLAC. It found, of my whole library, that 8 files failed as follows: F:\Music\Bryan Ada...

Re: Library File Compares?
hehehe. If it were 200 I'd almost feel better. That it's one drives me a little nuts as it's clear it's not just one big goof up somewhere. I did have Ignore Tracks shorter than 20kb checked. I unchecked that and rescanned. No such luck. Still missing the file. Shortest track is a hidden track of 4 ...

Library File Compares?
Guys, MediaMonkey is telling me I have 6,789 songs. My library is all on one drive (F) all stored in the format: F:\Music\Artist\Album\(trackname) All my music is in FLAC format. However, Windows Explorer tells me that I have 6,790 FLAC files in the F:\Music hierarchy. I have two other apps as well ...

Re: Milkdrop 2.0
Now that I have it working it's pretty impressive. It's a shame that Ryan Geiss sold the rights to this one to Nullsoft as it really is good. However, it's kind of hard to fault him given what little market profit-wise there is for this sort of product. I can't imagine actually paying much, if anyth...

Re: Milkdrop 2.0
Could someone be kind enough to send me the December 20th, 2007 copy of vis_milk2.dll to my e-mail? It's rich at pcserenity dot com.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: iPod m4a files?
Not knowing iTunes, how is that done? She has iTunes but it doesn't see the songs on her Nano which is why I decided to by-pass it entirely.

iPod m4a files?
A friend has a Nano and was using iTunes but having trouble. I moved her to MM and it's much improved. The main goal was to pull her music off the Nano and get it into a library on the PC and then use MM from there to work with it. However, all the .m4a files on the Nano won't transfer over. No erro...

Re: Monkey Rok 4.0 [MM2+3]
I hate to be the one to ask this as I know better but I love this plugin.... Do you have any idea when the next version might appear? The "More Information" link not working is my hang-up. I'm engrossed by it and just as I get into the story it runs out. One thing I'm confused by with this is that t...

Re: Streaming my library?
Neither approach is optimal. I already carry my library around on an iPod but it's really compressed. In FLAC we're talking well over 100GB and no one is going to be anywhere near free to give up that kind of space for me to stream it from. Oh well.

Streaming my library?
Is there a way for Media Monkey to stream my library to people outside my network (or even in it)? I've been looking at all kinds of solutions out there like Orb, TVersity, Subsonic and several others and each of them has major issues to overcome to make this work well. I'd really like anyone (mainl...
